Plz check out my photo gallery and look at all the clothes i've made ! I would really like some feedback..and i'd also like to help anyone who is interested in learning how i do it! http://www.hipgallery.com/photopost2/showgallery.php?si=&perpage=12&sort=1&cat=500&ppuser=910&friendemail=email@yourfriend.com&password=399ab9cb21c117cdb6cbc5d15c4b7e94
I love your work! Just wonderful....... I would be very interested in learning the how-to's of all of it, but unfortunatley for me I cant afford any of the materials right now. Have you been doing this a long time?
I have been sewing regularly for a short period of time...but i have been interested it my whole life...my mother sews ... when i was younger i used to mess around w/ the machine and usually ended up messing things up...it's sad that she never taught me..or hell even made me do it... so yes..the last few years i've been really into jewlery making, sewing, and other arts and crafts... u do not need alot of money to do these things..all the clothes on my gallery cost me around 20 bucks to make all of them...it's something like 3 apron tops and three skirts....i always shop off the clearance tables! Also , i like to 'reconstruct' things...and that's cheap... are u proficent w/ a sewing machine???? that is a must...or it will be very hard to sew.. let me know..i want to share my made up patterns w/ the hip world! keep it surreal...
i am a pretty good sewer, and if i can't figure something out, my mom either shows me how, or does it for me because she's an AWESOME sewer and stuff... could you tell me how to do those panelled pants!? i looooove them! btw.. all your stuff is the SHIZNIT
all i did was undo the seam on the cords....then i measured how big around i wanted the bottom of my pants to be...then i sewed my patches togher according to the biggest measurment i decided ... then i angled them from the top to the bottom...and just sewed it in! and added a hem around the bottom...it is so easy..took a little over an hour to do it all....plz try it..u can get funky w/ the patchwork too..or even personalize it w / appliques..
I love your clothes, very beautiful. I am also into sewing a lot! I would love it if you could give me some tips on how you make your clothes!
Nice job mamma! You're thing's look alot like mine. I wanna show you guy's the kickass grateful dead quilt I made for my love for his birthday. But I don't have a camera I'll have to get it over to my moms to get a pic. But very lovely, keep up the good work! ~peace
do you sell your work? i do some work myself. I have a friend who does very good macrame and can't sew. i can do macrame but not as good as her and sew very well and we plan on collaborating our talents to create a beautiful dress.
love those paneled pants. no room for me to sew inside. =( but I make other things out of wood outside.
I love the outfit you're wearin in the pic with your dad....and all of the others for that matter...but that one just caught my eye....I really wish i had the patince and time to learn how to make threads like that
i'd love to learn to make those, especially the apron tops, but i suck completely when it comes to sewing machines... how hard would they be to do by hand?
sewing machines are alot easier to use than u think..u just need to take the time to sit down and really learn...by hand it would be way way too much.. thx for the comments mammas..i really appreciatethem!
i tried a sewing machine before and they are hard for me to handle. i prefer doing it all by hand. i know its time consuming and requires patience, but its easier for me personally.
me too i borrowed my gf's sewing machine and despite many lessons i kept jamming it. i finally gave up and sewed the purse by hand and despite a tilt on the flap it turned out ok.
