Courtesy of my Gran's sheep, this will be in my hands in a couple of months!
His wool is soooo soft & afro-y!
Kept in her huge garden & field, pretty much a house sheep! and he will come when called

I seen some felted beads on etsy, maybe you could figure out how to felt beads and put them on your dreads, and if you want to dye the wool, use some kool-aid or colored drink mix (w/o sugar).

There were actually two sheep at our fair this year who's wool had dreaded. The fur was especially long at the top, so it hung over their eyes and everything. And the fur was black, so I just called them the Bob Marley sheep. I wanted one.

    How cool!
I just started spinning wool from a happy sheep living in Huddersfield :)
It takes a little practice but this was the 1st thing I actually made from scratch.

It was going to be a tam but I wanted to finish it quickly so I made a slouchy hat.
It involved washing and combing it but it was fun.
I'd love to get my hands on that wool of yours it looks so soft! If you want me to make you a little something feel free to send some and I will :D
I would'nt want any money it would just be good practice its just more of a hobby at the momment.

No I bought the drop spindle online I was a complete novice so did'nt really understand how it worked,NOW however I would make another, saw a video on making one involving wooden dowling and a wooden door knob.......pretty cool.
The best thing I found was practising alot, just on little bits.
My wool never comes out even its thick and thin but I prefere it like that:)
If you want any tips or anything Im not amazing but pm me and I may be able to help?
    Spinning wheel.......................Dream!!!
My boyf wants to make one from recycled stuff its a good idea but we'll see !
