I got my first taste today of my first crop and I am surprised. The other day I picked one of the smaller buds off and let it air dry / cure for a few days (used the microwave today to dry it out a little more.) I loaded me a bowl in my mini-bubbler (it was the only clean pipe i had) and took a long hard hit. It had a wonderful smooth taste - no harshness at all. The high was wonderful, come on quickly but subtly and got me quite high for the small amount I smoked. I picked this bud at the start of the 6tth week so I can imagine what it will be like when I harvest in a few weeks.
Why would you use a microwave to dry anything? Probably not a good idea. It's not like it's using heat to dry it.... Sounds awesome though. Pics for sure.
No pics - I only had 1 bud that I have smoked. I will take pics when I harvest the rest of the crop in a few weeks (this is only week 6).
I don't follow you. Why would using the one form of electromagnetic radiation be different from using the other form of electromagnetic radiation?
So you smoked the first and only bud off your plant? After letting it sit out for a few days then putting it in the mircowave? Where would you even come up with a plan like that?
This is the ponly bud i have taken off my plants. There are some more, larger buds still on the plant getting ready for harvest. I have read in a few books (including one by Ed Rosenthal) that says that microwaves will heat the water then causing the plant to dry, with out harming the THC itself.
microwaing test smoke isnt new or fucked up. Its been around, and it works. Some say its actually smoother then quick drying on a monitor/heater or something.
just like X-rays and UV rays are harmful, whereas visible light and infrared are not thought to be. i just hope you are planning on curing the bulk of the weed properly!
I had anticipated a response like this....X rays, UV, Gamma rays, are on the high frequency side of visible light....IR, that is to say, heat, is just above microwaves on the low frequency side. Just guessing, here, but that "Pile it Higher and Deeper" is not in physics, is it? That's OK, I were a English major....
