God is love. I want to feel his love and also share that with those around me. I feel most in a love my neighbor mood when barefoot.

I'm not sure why. Maybe I feel more vulnerable, less hidden, less protected. Which makes me more feeling and sensitive to others around me and my environment.

Does anyone else share this feeling?

I love to stand in the grass, in the dirt, feel the earth underneath my feet, breathe and take in the trees, the leaves, the breeze and the clouds. I know that I'm wrapped in mother nature's arms

I don't know about sharing love with god (seeing as I don't believe in him), but I do feel more connected with the earth, with nature, and with the world - when I'm barefooted... And seeing that I feel that nature is everything (in the same way you might believe that god is everything) I guess you could say that it's the same thing :)

I feel more loving wearing my combat boots... I can express my love by kicking people in the head.

    Barefoot Monk,

I was just thinking about this the other day when I was reflecting upon the meaning of the word "love." Jesus, among others, tells us that God is Love. So many times I have said to people, "I love going barefoot." That can be read two ways (or more): That I really enjoy going barefoot, or that "I love" *while* going barefoot. In my case, both are true. The Gospel of John tells us that God is Spirit, and that we are to worship in Spirit and in truth. For some of us, the preference to be barefoot is a large part of the truth of our own spirits, and walking barefoot brings us a greater appreciation of God's creation and a greater willingness to engage in behavior and thought centered in the Love that is God.

So yes, I think others share that feeling.

No, I feel the same with shoes on as I do without. All I know is that I LOVE being barefoot and hate wearing shoes! My kids are the same. They love running around barefoot. My oldest son hates even wearing socks when it's cold in the house. He can't stand them, he always takes them off. I'm the same way really. I just prefer being barefoot. My twins get so excited when I take their socks off, they just love their feet being bare.

My hubby isn't the same though. He rarely goes barefoot. I think he's really missing out!

    Peace.

I hate shoes and socks so much that I now own only ONE pair of socks, besides flip flops and sandals the only real pair of shoes I own are two different sets of clogs that expose my heels to the open air.

Though I'll have to break down and obtain a couple more socks when winter comes I guess.
