I'm lonely. And I'm finding that I'd really enjoy another human being to share time with. Just to be with. Just to not feel so alone. Maybe they'll make robots that can be our friends in the future. Or perhaps if I went to sleep right now I'd have a dream where I have a conversation with people. I guess there's hundreds of millions of people on this earth right now who are also lonely. The worst thing about it is that I have no hope or expectations that tomorrow I'll experience any companionship. I'll be lonely forever. Oh well, my books, my studies, my video games, my TV, and my internet will be my friends.:cheers2:
Don't have that kind of attitude my friend, if thats what you constantly think, then that is what you will attract. I am haveing difficulty finding new friends, my old friends all drink and constantly do drugs, something that I am no longer interested in doing(a little weed now and then). My suggestion to you would be to join something, try doing something you have always wanted to do or something that interests you. Me, I always wanted to learn martial arts so I recently joined muay thai kickboxing, I've only been to a couple classes so far and I've only really talked to one person there but i can easily see us becoming good friends. Trying new things can sometimes be intmidating but its a great way of meeting people. After the first little bit that awkwardness you feel leaves and you can enjoy what your doing and the people you are doing it with. The internet is great but its no substitute for actual human ineraction.
I feel yah on that one. I have one friend and I don't get to see her much cuz she has two kids and two jobs. People are so untrustworthy. I've been screwed over so many times that I find it hard to trust new people.
I get it. I moved to this town about a year ago and have not made any real friends. It's a small town that doesn't have anything going on where I could meet people. Plus the fact that most people here are closeminded and hateful, not people that I wan't to associate myself with anyway. That is why I've reached out to the internet community (that and the fact that I have a job where I do nothing but play on the computer for ten hours in the middle of the night). I know the relationships you make on here are superficial and have no real lasting value, but it helps fill a space. Damn, I sound pretty sad and pathetic.
if you end up going to college you will have a hard time not finding friends, in high school it can feel impossible to maneuver and meet new people.
Bleh. I was in a momentary stupor of lonesomeness when I wrote this thread. I'm still lonely, and friendless, but I not as depressed about it. I had a one week vacation from school (and my life mainly is school), so I literally haven't been around any other human beings besides my family. I have hope that when I go back, though isolated, I'll feel happy just being around people. I should have whote this in the WHINERS FORUM, because thats what I'm doing. Actually, moderator you should move it there. Are there escorts that you can pay to have them talk to you? God, that would be awkward. Nope, you're not pathetic. I see past that self-effacing attitude; you think you're awesome. And you ARE. And is your job to play games, really? Interesting job. I think you already understand that to be near people, to hear their voice and see their face, nothing anything that can replace. That "little bit [of] awkwardness" never goes away. I've never felt close to a person, besides one person. I never felt comfortable being myself around anyone.
One of my jobs is overnight desk clerk at a hotel. For hours on end there is nothing to do. So basically I get paid to play on the internet.
You know what I have found entertaining recently are PSP's. I'm not really into video games, as a matter of fact I haven't really touched them in 10 years. But when I am really bored and I'm on the go, I find myself engrossed with them.
I just traded a m odded PSP for 2 DS lites and one came with guitar hero. I'll have to check that out...
