how long do i leave sea salt in my dreads

    sry i didnt ask this in my other post it jst came to me i take sea salt and put it in a cup of water mix it around and jst dump in all over my head how long do i leave it in before i wash it out wit water and bar soap (planning on gettin dr bronners soon) and my dreads are only a couple days over two weeks any other advice for helpin my dreads along besides time would b great to

    When ever i used it I washed it threw my dreads, not like you use soap. I soaked my dreads in it and washed it out at the same time. lol don't do what i did the first time tho, used boiling water to dissolve the salt quickly and then didn't let it cool for long enough.

    u dont gotta leave it long it does what it does fairly fast
    15 minutes would do ya
    also
    if u do leave it in longer spray it on dont dump it over ..it can realluy iritate the scalp
    (it corodes steel after all)

    i only use it in tyhe deep cleanse rincing out after 10 min

    some do leave it in days but its not needed and can cause a salty buildup

    I put it in before I go to bad and then wash it out the next morning it normally gets me a lot of knots. My scalp isn't that sensitive though. The sea salt rinse also takes the itches away for me.

    hate to necro an old thread...but im usin the search function (yay not starting unnecessary threads?) and i *had* to ask about this:

    doesn't that leave salt on your pillow/bed?
