Hey i just stumbled on this great site tonight googling. I have severe back trouble and have had no trouble with my family doc, getting pills in my home town. I work construction and now im in southern california. I looked up a doc last week and went to him he gave me way less than im used to and treated me as if i was lying. I see all these weed doctors in nickel ads, i was just wondering if these docs are a little more free with pills. :cheers2:
sorry I don't have any good answer for your question, but, nonetheless, welcome to the forums! maybe if you just take the doctor's recommended dosage and build up his trust, maybe you can say, "look, doc, I'm in a bit more pain. is there anyway you could prescribe me a little more?" I don't know. maybe. I don't ever remember needing pills from the doctor. Out of curiosity: What pills are you getting? and where were you previously living?
Have your old Doctor write a note to show your new doctor, or have the new one call the old one, that might work. A doctor is probably not just going to take your word for it when it comes to narcotics. You might have a doctor who hates prescribing narcotics. But a doctor shouldnt drop your previous dosage by a large amount because of the possibility of you going into severe withdraw.
I would take the advice Nikolai has suggested and try to have one of the doctors contact the other. Try to have your old doctor call and talk with the new guy so that he can shed some light on your situation and that might make the new doctor think a little harder about giving you some stronger/more shit. Good luck! - NICU
