Most of my friends can still appreciate music as a solitary activity. I can listen to music by itself before bed, sitting around waiting for class, etc. But I can and usually do listen to it at every point in the day where I'm not reading too. Without my music I'd probably go insane after about a week.
well im sitting on my bed on my laptop with music on so that and smoking would be the only other things id be doing
Vessels of the human spirit, we cascade into rivuletes of auditory motion, forever perpetuated by the great spinning record in the sky...
music = life.. if i could not listen to music then i would not want to live... if i went deaf i'd rather be dead... i have so much music its not even funny.. from all different genres.. cuz sometimes i'm very musically ADHD
I do drugs to listen to music. I fuckin love it man. Different drugs turn songs into different worlds and they're all interesting
i was thinking...maths is supposed to be the language of the world but its not, its music. Maths cant make you feel emotions, music can no matter where its from or what language its in. How much music do you have joker? i have around 4000 on itunes but i dont use that anymore. Altogether i have around the 12,000 song mark.
i have 7250 songs on my external hdd.. which i bought like in november... so since november i have downloaded most of them... i had limited amount of music on my lappy cuz it was only a 40gb hdd
"Music is definitely a language and if you can speak it and improve your vocabulary your emotions will evolve more than you can ever think." My music theory teacher told us that. I think he's absolutely right.
my laptopis 75gb but not all my music is on it. Most of my music is on my aunts laptop actually, from way back before i had my own laptop. Need to get all that back actually.
i got 63+gb of just music... 23gb of that is Grateful Dead.. because most of it is in FLAC.. and not to mention 1631 songs total
I have 21gigs of music that equals about 5,000 songs on my computer, like 160 legit albums, another like 30 burned CDs and about 70-80 vinyls, and because of my computer's shittiness any song I have on an actual CD I won't have on the computer so I can save space. So yes, I do enjoy music, quite a bit of it. Also, I listen to music constantly, like no matter what I'm doing, even TV, I mastered the art of listening to music and watching TV at the same time.
I do agree that there is a difference between listening to music and just having music on. Sometimes i'll just put on an album to listen to when I'm cleaning or doing schoolwork, but I dont consider it really listening to music. When I actually listen to music I usually put on headphones, shut off the TV, and get rid of all distractions and just focus on the music.
emotion is not an inherent property of existence. Music and mathematics are both wonderful and amazing things, but when the question of which is more fundamental (in terms of generalities, not to any given individual), the award clearly goes to math IMO
yea, what motivated me to get into PF was PF experience show i saw the other day, it's amazing. i've gone to two concerts, steely dan and pink floyd experience.
for christmas a year or two back my dad's friend let me use one of his hard-drives until i could get all the music i wanted off it. he had fucking over 100 gigs.
