...and no I do not mean branding. I mean cutting.
Has anyone had any experience with it? Or know of anyone that has?

If so, please share your experience, pictures, whatever!
I really want to have some done in the future and want to talk to everyone I possibly can about it!

    Thanks :)

I've never really seen this done. It sounds like it would really cool though. Painful, but cool.

Well, Tiedyedreams, here's a great example of a healed piece:

This photo is pretty much what got me in love with the idea. It looks so beautiful.

Not a fan. Tattoos look much better, done right. And I think you'd have a greater chance of a botched job with scarification than ink.

Oh for sure you'd have a better chance of having a botched job with scarification... but I don't know, aesthetics aren't REALLY why I want to have it done... I want it more for the experience.

I just think the experience would be so awesome. The whole healing process of any body modification is my favorite part... it's almost spiritual. And I think something as intense and intricate as scarification would just be something I want to experience...

    But that's just me.

I'm totally agreeing with you here. I mean, you're going to take a chance on the job being fucked up no matter what you get. Sometimes you just have to be brave and take a chance.

yeah but it was a brand not a cutting...

I've got both, a branding and a cutting, branding done with cottering iron pen, wasn't too bad and didn't take long at all, it's a Spider in the center of my shin. The cutting was done with a surgical scaple it took like 2 hours, it's the web around the spider. It bled for 25 hours straight after the proceedure, The loss of blood was so much that I was in shock from loss of blood after about 10 minutes, which i didn't care at the time because the hottest goth guy in world was sliceing my leg open. Both of them healed just fine, the best way to tell someone how to take care of those things is DON'T PICK!

I'll throw some pictures up here as soon as I can find my camera!

Please do! I'm really interested in seeing this. I'm getting more and more intrigued, even though it isn't something I think I could do. I guess I'm too much of a pussy right now. haha

it don't have anything to do with being a pussy, it's a mind over matter thing I guess you could say. Really I felt some pain but just breathed it away, I personally focused on all the billshit emotional drama I went through in my teenage life and with every cut I released some of tha pain away, it actually helped me in more ways than I can describe. I wasn't doing it just to watch a really hot goth guy cut into me, it was a spiritual journey. and I'm getting a pic of it here in a little while...

I can't never figure out how to freaking get pics up on this damn thing! Sorry but here's a couple pics of my hairy leg, oh yeah there's a spider and a web in there somewhere too.

That's really cool. Plus, you bring up a good point about releasing the pain. I can see how it would work out.

Oh I don't know, it said it was a cutting. I like branding too, but I'm a bit more familiar with the way that works because my boyfriend has brands... it's cutting that I'm not as knowledgeable about.

I found some pretty rad pics of some cutting, too.

    Fucking amazing.
