And what I meant by that is that he acts like he can't possibly understand why someone would want something different from him. It's like he doesn't understand that everyone doesn't live like him or even want to live like him.
i happen to interact with doctors lawyers mayers congresmen city coucil reporters all types all the time i looked lil closer at sisterlocks i was thinking of a simularly named sight i think? maybe there was a salon dread thread and a site was mentioned i thouight it was sisterlocks and the owner of sisterlocks aparently scans the web for any mention of it and came in deffending her use of wax and stuff all im saying is, they will charge you a ton of money..and expect you to keep comming back for a long time all you have to do to acheive the exact same look is after u unbraid wash it, dont flat iron it just twist it into tiny lil sections or any size iu wish leave it alone awhile retwist it like weekly the first month then maybe twice a month thre second month by then it will be perfectly settled in if your hairs over 1/2 inch its enough to start im sure as it will want to hold well u can play with it all u want. just dont over twist otr it can do harm thin locks are super easy this way try some test twists now..do they kinda hold together? there just saved ya a thousand bucks and 12 plus hours in a salon if u retwist say twice in each wash cycle..once after washing and once 1/2 way throughu till next washing by 2-3 weeks they will be well used to holding those sections and be starting to lock this is what they will be doing but adding wax, and possibly some weaving they will make u as dependent on them as they can, so you will have slower progress needing more maintanace thats thye salon dread scam in a nutshell..eventusly it will dread, but they use ..no over use products so its very high maintanance and dependent on repeat business u could have the exact same results..neat tidtyy dreads free by doing it yourself take some hair (for extreme tidiness, be careful in ther sectioning, making sure no hairs are crossed) twist it twist it twist it till its pretty tight give it a quick roll and move on to the next retwist it ..maybe twice a week washing weekly and in no time they will be locing requiring less and less work tidying is easy with thin dreads, seperate em, and give em a roll now and then for lil extra help, and curly dreads, put a barette in the end of each or coil them and barrette (but dont leave like that too long, u still wanna set em loose and retwist semi often) your hair should be getting tight in a mattrer of weeks, needing no tighrtening after that..only minor tidying to smooth out lumps and force a perfect roundeness frizz wont be much of an idssue..at leasrt along the dreads, but some might be at the scalp after alot of ripping u have the option then of letting it join dreads to thicken em..or to form dreads naturaly, or u can twist it into mini dreads most african hair will hold a twist and start to dread as long as theres enough to griip and twist..like 1/8 inch my buddy benton that was here earlier has tiny lil very thin dreads..barely 1/8 inch he twisted them just once and left em alone and they tiightened into real dreads in 2 weeks flat so, instead of ironing for a lengrth check.. twist to see how much they shorten they may shrink lil more from there as they tighten but they will form perfectly tidy lil dreads just that easily try it and see.. 3 weeks and u should know how well its working then spend the 1000 you saved on something more useful
youy dont seem to understand im trying to save you a ton of money and hassle for something thats very simple to do yourself try it and see hell if it saves u a thousand bucks i dont even want a penny of it, im just happy to help u save the money and the hassle and...your welcome
I guess it never occurred to you that I might enjoy some occasional pampering. I also guess it never occurred to you that I have really thick hair and a fucked up wrist that makes twisting my own hair irritating (and painful when I'm halfway through my head). Again it must not have occurred to you that while my fiance helps me twist my hair every now and again he can't do that all the time since he often travels for work. You're an arrogant (and pushy) prick. This is not the venue to address your insistent, unchecked arrogance and bullheadedness. Shoot off a pm or start a thread and I'd be more than happy to paint you a picture. And you're welcome for that insight.
yoy dont gotta do it often once is enough.. doping it more only ensures tidiness i have never called you names and what your going to do is not be pampered, but be ripped off the consultation alone i bet costs 100 the initial dreading 6-700 then 1-200 each maintanance visit, at once to twice a month for however many months it takes u to realize yoiur being ripped off youir looking at 1000 to 1500 for a hairstyle that shouldnt cost a cent u can twist with 2 fingers, no wrist motion needed u can do it one time onlyy...or monthly or weeklly it wont ake a whole lot of difference just iff u do it lil more u ensure super tidiness im sure your fiance is there more then onbce a month right? how longs the hair how many dreads do u want if super tiny like sisterlocks theree are like 400 tiny dreads each should take inder a minute to twist a few times they dont gotta all be done at once the 1st time u may wanna get em all done to look good, but after that..just idly twisting 1 hnjere and there, not like work just like mindlessly playing with em is all u need now just try 1..just 1 and see isnt that easy? now if u wanna be pampered u can afford a vacation with what u just saved u can book a resort for a week you can get 150 hours of massage yoyu can have an extremely overpriced dinner in the worlds best resteraunt you can hire a maid for the month lets see i think a flight to hawaii with hotel for 4 days for you and youir fiance would be about what u just saved on your hair think practicle here.. thats nearly a years food budget simply twisting your own hair would mean extending your honeymoon a week ore upgrading to a 5 star suite theres gotta be better uses for 1000 or more dollars then simply not wantinmg to twist your own hair think about it, as a child u probly twisted your hair alot withouit noticing anmd your mom yelled at ya alot to stop it its a natural thing to do to play with your hair why is it now that your older you think you need a professional top do what u did withiut even thingking? i dont get why your so damn hostile over good advice piunch your hair, twist it a few times between your fingers.. wasnt that such a strain? did u need a workout to be able to exert so much effort? u say u have course thick hair.. thats the best kind! one twist will get ot going and it will dread like crazy! u got the dream hair for dreadiong it will dread if u just dont touch it but a siple lil twist will give u the ultimate tidiness and control u seek hell u can do itr with 1 finger, just a lil twirl and its done 2 will help it get tighter and more controlled, b ut 1 will do the ttrick if 2 is too much wrist strain (even tthough u only need to move fingers not your wrist) can u snap your fingers? thats all the effort it takes..actualy gentler ok i am talking to ya like a child now i appologize, but you really seem tio just wanna be insulting and not listen to good advice when its given to ya so ill just leave ya with this thought u can pay a stranger to twist your hair.. or you can use that money to start off your happy lives together to me its pretty odvios a few days in hawaii would be worth far more then a full day in a barbaer chair haiving someone pull your hair its your choice im simply trying to help u make a sensible 1 and not get ripped off
i should be asleep, but wanted to add real quick that id be delighted to give ya a wedding pressent.. im pretty damn poor so it wont be anything huge, just this find out what all apooinments, consultation, dreading, and every maintanace for 6 months (or however long they say the average person goes back for) would cost (im guessing 1500) then price 4 days in hawaii (guessing 1750?) if the difference is between 200-300 i'll split the differeence with ya.. (i only make biouyt 500 a month, so, id give ya 100 now, 50 next month something like that ) so, now your not only saving 1500, but earning 100-150 if you simply twist your own hair then you got youirself 4 days pamperring in hawaii as part of youtr hioneymoon sound nice? i dont care if ya do keep being mean to me..maybe thats just your nature and thats ok..my nature is to be helpful and giving as much as i can.. and i know 100 isnt alot to you, but it is to me so its about the most generouse gift i could possibly give ya i do apologize for talking to you like a child earlier..its just hard for me to understand why youd pay so damn much money to do somethimng so simple trust yourself, you wont screw it up and it will turn out amazing in just weeks by your wedding they will look amazing lil tip though..i had 250 dreads..sisterlocks suggests 400 when they get long.. 200 or more are a hell of alot to keeo track of and keep out of car doors keep from being caught on chairs u name it very thin may look super tidy, but6 eventualy will be a pain in the ass pencil thick u might reduce it to 200 and be more managable finger thick maybe 150 its up to u..just tellin ya from experience ..200 or more can get in places u cant even imagine, and keeping track of em is a pain
SE back off it now. You made your point (over and over and over) Let the girl do what she wants, its her time, her money, her head, and her life! Not everyone lives in the perfect utopia of your mind. Im not meaning that as an insult. But good lord you got us burning gyms, running through forests, dipping our heads in creeks, cows exploding with milk and coming after each other with steak knives, using our dreads as survival tools if we have used wax. Come on now!!!!!
haha, i was laughing at the image of us lot rampaging thru cities, burning gyms with cows exploding everywhere
Just wanted to state for the record that I never started over on my locks. SE mentioned me taking them out and starting over natural. But really I just mostly unbraided the locks and boiled the wax out of my hair repeatedly. I don't know if that counts as starting from scratch. Does it? And FWIW, I didn't ask or pay for Sisterlocks. I wanted dreads. That's what I asked for, what I paid for and what she said she was doing. Sisterlocks look great on "sisters," I however am not one
Yeah she sorta lied to you. But at least you're happy with what you have now.:cheers2: And Callie that you for that. I had to step away and just reflect for a bit. He's like those magazine salespeople. Ew.
This thread was sort of funny but then callie made her post and it was hilarious, everyone here always makes me laugh at least once a day
