At first glance, kind of an absurd question.

    But is it really?

    Comments?

our brains filter out roughly 97% of all the information that surrounds us.

there is so much more going on, mate.

    Right.

I like to take it further. Am I viewing my existance as a physical brain or Awareness.

the brain is the dimension bending dense neuroelectric holographic producing organic computer that acts as a medium for awareness.

consciousness, awareness, I believe are universal.

It is our star-shaped existence that allows us to know that we are seeing.

Oh, and I do wonder what comes next.....
Little hints all over the place...

    Nicely put.
I'd change it just a bit. My Awareness is producing that I have a "physical" brain.

yet one of the reasons the awareness is being produced is the brain, which manifests the mind.

    it goes back and forth...

Ahhh... But if you believe the brain produces awareness, you'll live in a paradigm where physical reality is First cause and all the problems of that paradigm.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean it goes back and forth?
Mabbe I misunderstood what you are saying.

I think he means that the brain is necessary for consciousness/self awareness to manifest the reality that we are all aware of, however, without consciousness the human brain would become little different to that of other less evovled animal species. One cannot exist as they are now without each other. It doesn't matter which came first, because the truth is that they are both seperate - consciousness can manifest or anchor itself to the human brain but it's not actually part of it - if you opened up a human head and poked about a bit you would not find consciousness physically because it's a product of the whole. Think of the brain as a host for consciousness to anchor to, if the brain is damaged, or less evolved, consciousness cannot manifest in it's current state, therefore reality would be something much different.

As you go through your day you do many things...

    Doing/Acting/behaving/talking...

    Comes from what?

It is an energy that is a result of thought.

If all that you do is an extension of what is going on in your conscious thought.

Then why are we equipped with a mind that can conceive ideas that are beyond what the material world will allow us to do?

For example walking through a wall? Some will attribute such notions to imagination... but I will pose the question again... why are we equipped with the ability to THINK and imagine walking through a wall in our conscious thought... if it is impossible in the material world?

The awnser is simple... there is something driving our consciousness that is beyond the matrial world.

Is it a soul? I think so.

Either way there is most definitly something more going on then meets the eye my friend ;)

And your chosen nickname characterizes my view of this... very well... INFINTE THOUGHT = INFINITE POSIBILITIES

    ;)

You've hit the proverbial hammer on the nail with that one, Amigo.
    Straight outta da ballpark.
    :sunglasse
    hehehe....

And that one opens up a whole new can of worms.

What is the "mechanism" (for lack of a better word) that is deciding that the wall is solid, when we know that what our senses are perceiving is simply "electrical impulses" to the back of the "brain". (Mind would be more correct)?

Belief. You believe the wall is solid. Everything you percieve is because you believe it.

You don't believe what you see, you see what you believe.

Ever hear of particle-wave duality? Everything is made of energy. When physicists measure a particle, its not a particle until you observe it, its just energy. Its the act of consciousness observing something that makes energy collapse into a particle. If this is true, then matter is made of consciousness and consciousness creates reality.

I go more into detail about this in another forum and i can copy and paste if anyone wants to hear it.

...either that or "we experience energy as matter because we resonate at a certain frequency which corresponds to the frequency at which the things we experience as matter vibrate in a 'solid' state." I think both ideas have something to do with each other.

All of creation is a singular kind of energy vibrating at different rates.

Your ability to tune into it depends on how attached to your human identity you are.

You soul has full range of perception, but you as a human extension of that soul has limited range.

A spiritual path helps expand that ability.

well, i always start with the question "who's asking the question" anyway, keeps a nice sense of perspective...it's enough of a mystery for me (whoever i may be) perceiving at all, never mind what it is being perceived

Your're right and so wrong. See that atom? that one to the left of your coffee cup... Well its observing your coffee cup. So, if you decide not to believe in the coffee cup, well the atom still believes in it, and infact so does teh coffee cup so if you stop believing in the cup then you would have to leave this reality because we don't take kindly to snobbing coffee cups
