First off, this thread is specifically regarding the FLOWERS of the morning glory vine. I understand seeds are the common (and probably best) way to use the morning glory plant as a psychedelic.

There are small references throughout the internet regarding steeping the flowers of the morning glory in either water or vodka for a week or two, in order to receive a "hemp-like buzz". However, there are no detailed reports on the method or its results.I

have currently begun steeping the daily flowers in a small amount of vodka, which i will combine with distilled water after about a week, and allow further soaking. Hopefully in a month or so i will have a small amount of ~15% alcoholic brew.

Has anyone here ever tried this?

I've heard of steeping in non alcoholic water and it still being intoxicating, but if you've did the alcohol for your own benifit or the combo go for that shit. I'd like to hear the report too.:D The alc. might get more LSA/other chems out.

Planning on growing some of those sweet vines when warmer weather comes in. I'll be sure to make a bit of MG wine.

I decided that since the vodka is taking on such a wonderful pink hue, i wont add water to it. after about a week of soaking in 40% alcohol, i will transfer the flowers to another container of distilled water and soak in that for another week.

that way, it should be noticible if theres any polarity/non-polar differences that benefit each solvent.

I must say, the pink vodka would be a great coloured vodka if nothing else

How many flowers have you added?
I assume you would have to add a lot of flowers, like maybe at least 30 flowers to achieve any lsa buzz.

Did you dry the flowers?, did you cut them up, or just put them in whole?

agreed. i doubt that i will be able to obtain much if any LSA. If so, bonus!ive got 5 flowers that steeped in 40% vodka over 3 days, creating a purple liquid, and draining most of the colour from the petals. The vodka was seperated, and the flowers placed in distilled water, where no colour has been tinted so far.I lack the number of flowers necessary to produce any large amount (2 plants x 0-2 flowers a day), but am pleased by the colour and slight aroma of the liquid. I have not tasted it.

1/2 oz is less than a shot

    UPDATE:

The alcohol that has soaked in it has rich shades of purple, and there is now about 5oz produced. It tastes slightly 'floral".

the water that the flowers soaked in took about twice as long to take on the purple hues, and had a distinct, somewhat unappealing taste. (probably similar to chewing on a flower or injesting potporri)

I have decided that i will continue to produce the morning glory vodka, and once a substancial amount has been collected, will drink it to see if anything besides drunkenness becomes aparent. It is safe to say that this is by no means a good/ideal way of ingesting LSA, due to the time, patience, and amount of alcohol required to extract.

still working on this process 9quite slow due to the 3-day soak needed, and that fact that only 1-2 flowers bloom dail on average.

Ive reached about 125ml of purple vodka, an hve gotten some compliements from riends whove tried small amounts,

*on a related note, if i make a bluberry/apple/fruit-infused vodka, does the source of 'flavour become edible/alcoholic? (ie; eat the blueberries after steeping alcohol for several weeks)
