Any Point of Making a Dugout?

Today I bought one of those decent metal one-hitters disguised as a cigarette (I was initially pissed at this, a pen or something would be more innocuous. It's not like "oh hey mom don't worry that's just... a cigarette.) Anyway, after doing some research, I found that the cigarette one hitter is usually held in a dugout, those wooden box type things.

My questions are: what are any of the benefits of using a dugout with the one hitter? Bigger hits?

Is there any way to make the dugout, or should I just use the normal thing?

Any other info would be appreciated, thanks.

 

All the wooden thing does is hold your weed. Then you like push the cigarette part in the hole and the weed gets packed inside it.

It also holds the cig thing. You don't really need it, but it's nice to have.

 

Oh wait, I thought you were just talking about the wooden thing that comes with the cig thing.

 

really.. whats the point of having a one hitter WITHOUT a dugout? lol

the whole thing is that u pop open the little wooden box, slide out the pipe, then stick it in the weed and hoot that little "one hitter"

having a ciggerette one hitter is kinda useless cause u still need to cary your weed and you need to phyiscally pack a bowl rather then just push it into the dugout

 

well I can just pack the weed in there and take small hits... i don't have any other bowl, and I won't have to make one.

Was this a bad idea buying one?

I bought it from a kid who only had the cig thing, not the dugout

 

well typically those cig looking ones are infact sold by themselves

but personally i really dont see the point in getting a 1 hitter if u dont have the dugout

 

My thought process was... no bowl... don't feel like having to constantly make ones... small and easy... plus the dude just had it on him in class and said it was one of the only pipes he had at all (rolls)

so i bought it.

Why would you buy a half of a used dugout? Did you not think "hey isn't there another part to this"

You might as well have bought a bong without a bowlpiece. I guess we all make mistakes though.

alright, well he said you can still just pack it in the cig thing and hit it from the there... so it works

personally i didnt know what a one-hitter was and i just really needed a piece

 

yeah, my friend doesnt have a dugout but he has the actual cigarette thing. When he had nothing but that bowl, he would just break up buds and stuff it into the one hitter.

it worked pretty well.

 

will i have to clean it out and repack a lot for one sesh?

 

Yeah, you have to tap the thing everytime you finish smoking the bowl you packed.

Unless you want it to get clogged or you like hotrocks in your mouth.

 

yeah that part sucks. i use my one hitter whenever i'm driving somewhere and its really annoying packing bowl after bowl esp. when your with multiple people.

 

I had an idea.

Get one of those pill bottles that doctors give you.

Then bust your weed up and put it in there and it will be easy to just push the cig thing down into the weed and it will pack your bowl.

And when your done the cig will fit in the pill bottle

 

Ah you beat me to it.. That's what I do, it works great. The key is to twist it back and forth while you push down, otherwise it won't pack as well.
