I wouldn't say she lied though. Maybe more uneducated. No fooling there is a difference in hair types here. What works for the sistas probably wont work so well for us crackas.
I went to Sally Beauty Supply and asked for the "dread section" which was actually more the ethnic hair section. None of the folks who worked there could help me with what I was looking for. I kept telling them ..nope thats no good. I thought they were gonna boot me out. It works on ethnic hair..but would of wrecked mine. Know what I mean...anyway...Im ramblin!

 

I totally know what you mean. Many hair care professionals are miseducated about a variety of things and that blows.

Yes I use the word cracka freely so it no longer holds any significance to me and note I put an A at the end instead of an ER!!!

I have found that peeps who work at the beauty supply store are no better than Pediatricians. They are only as good as their education and sometimes they are just plain idiots. It's funny cause after having children I've researched everything from drugs in labor to vaccines and food dyes...it was ultimately my bad for not researching the hell out of it before hand, but everything I found said wax was cool and I had no reason to think otherwise, yk? I don't think it was intentional or that she meant to rip me off and leave me unhappy. She really is a very cool chick, but like y'all said - I am happy with what I have now so it's water under the bridge!

Just wanted to show that us candleheads can bounce back!
