You know, i'm not so sure this will ever be resolved, and here's why: Communism, true communism, is the ideal. It IS the way we should live. WITH each other. Sharing what we have. Caring, personally, about the folks around us, and how they're doing ~ because how they're doing? Could make your job that much easier, or 10 times harder. But then you have to add Government, because some people actually ARE crazy; because, in order for it all to "fair," someone has to watch the other guys, to make sure they aren't cheating; because, because, because ... There are a million of 'em, i suppose. You know, until there IS "total transparency" ~ They can see and know everything we do, and we can see and know everything they do, whatEVER we wish to know ~ it's just not going to work. As long a folks feel like they need to have secrets, and choose omission or deceit over truth, it can't work. Back to the drawing board... {Hey! That's MY Conspiracy Theory, and i'm sticking with it!!! :rofl:}
Yes "Ideally" it would be a good global solution. It might take some invaders from outer space for us to realize it though. There really is only "One" Border and it goes by the name of " Atmosphere "
i just turned on sigs, tonight, 'cuz i changed part of mine ~ i LIKEEEEEEEEE yours, Mescal!!! :rofl: ROFLMAO!!!
But, of course. Described as: Taking care of yourself, first, so that you can be in a position to help others. Sounds pretty logical, the thing is, when are you in that position? When you can guarantee yourself, what? A week's worth? A generation's worth? 15 generation's worth? i guess we're trying to be careful of things that there isn't any way to be careful of. Even rich folks have sad things happen to them, and even the most powerful person is mortal. And there's that nasty government entity sneaking back in, but instead of looking at what we have and are producing with our natural resources, and using that "real" amount (to FIRST, take care of US and OURS), we've got what we've got, and communism has what it has. And that's the enigma, imho.
Dude, I dunno about you guys and gals, but the LAST thing I want is for everyone to know what i'm doing. That's just creepy, seriosuly. The ideal way to live, IMHO, is being able to do what you want as long as it doesn't harm anyone else. Screw helping others, seriosuly. Let me do what I want, they can do what they want, it's all good. Plus, it's not like you'd need government, since we are talking "ideal" (aka impossible). We all just do our own thing, period. If someone fucks up, make them leave. End of story. The whole reason there are problems in the world is because a whole lot of people (moral-orel chrisitans, crazy muslims, people like xexon, fanatics of all kind) can't keep their stinky little noses out of everyone else's business. The Mushroom Man
I agree with you Fyrenza, it is the ideal government but it doesn't work too well in reality. I think the best system is a mix of capitalism and socialism kinda like what we have now except I like the Europeans mix a bit better. Free college and health care are must IMHO. Don't you think it's pretty fucked up that a prisoner in the US is given free education on the college level and healthcare but other American citizens you know who aren't imprisoned have to pay out of pocket. That doesn't sit right with me. My $.02
Until you figure out that you can't do it all, yourself; THEN it becomes of great importance what you are doing, and what the others around you are doing. You wouldn't want to live next door to someone who thinks a cesspool is a good idea, and you need certain rules to regulate things such as that ~ > VOILA! Instant government, just add water!
Don't you think it's pretty fucked up that a prisoner in the US is given free education on the college level and healthcare but other American citizens you know who aren't imprisoned have to pay out of pocket. That doesn't sit right with me. What's really fucked up about that is that is the working people that are picking up the tab for all of it
BONKAI!!! :hurray: i used to think that, too, actually, and perhaps, in some of the prisons, it actually DOES happen. But Dear works for the prison system, and we've learned quite a few things that are not quite represented truthfully. In the prisons that Dear has worked ~ 2 facilities, 26 different "pods", and one was High Security facility, with long~term inmates, ZIP, ZERO, NADA, NIL for any college level courses. To give you some idea ~ a "pod," during the summer months down here, is unbearable to the Correctional Officers. They spell each other from a (supposedly) air conditioned "Control Booth." The prisoners have giant fans running, full blast, and live, at one facility, in 3 "sections" of 48 prisoners and 5 bathrooms, each ~ TOTAL Prisoners = 144, Bathrooms = 15; and at the other, in 4 "sections" of 54 prisoners with each section having 4 bathrooms ~ TOTAL Prisoners = 216, Bathrooms = 16. The prisoners are given these (imho) disgusting "johnnies" ~ paper bag lunches that invariably contain peanut butter sandwiches, or mystery-meat and mysterious-cheesious (nothing else on the cheapest of the cheap bread), over-ripe fruit, and 1% or 2% milk. So we're asking ourselves, "Good Grief!!! With the kind of money being spent on these places, and the pay scale being so low, "Where's the beef!?!" "Where's all that money GOING?!?" 'Cuz these folks? ARE living like animals in a zoo...
Communism shouldn't be a government, it should be a culture. Government is imposed on the people, culture resides in the hearts of people. And we shouldn't have to have privacy, because we should never be ashamed of stuff, it's society that makes us feel shame. And if you say "fuck everyone else, take care of yourself", what if your parents never loved you? Didn't give you opportunities they didn't have to. Love is healing, and we need it. Except you can't impose the philosophy. There are places with communist like ideology, like some communes with equal sharing of all income.
Yeah, like i wrote it in my posts, when i wasn't fumble-fingering around trying to dream up a "Title" for it! :rofl:
