So I'm planning on doing a bit of international travel soon as I get the chance. Probably won't have much money to work w/ enough for tickets/a lil' bit for sustenance.... Basically I'm just wondering what essentials you all recommend for international travel.... Also what do you do about money? I'm afraid of carrying any large amount w/ me....
What sort of frame packs/gear do you highly recommend? Ummmm also what is your take on a woman traveling alone... currently I'm leaning towards Morocco, Europe, Hawaii, or Fiji... haven't decided which will be first.
Well I would love to hear your tips/experiences!

Essentials outside of the obvious may or may not include..
    mozzie repellent.
    ear plugs.
    sarong/light blanket.
first aid kit issued by a travel doc, or packed yourself with consideration of your destination
    pain killers.
    and more.

Generally you would be fine traveling alone. Primary concern would be traveling in Muslim countries as a lone woman.

As for money, I would bring traveler's cheques in a couple different currencies, a few deposits of cash, again different currencies might be a good idea, and two ATM cards if you have. Always keep some cash with you.

wel as far as the destination being a lone woman i def suggest fiji. my friend has done that trek many a time and raves about how friendly the fijians are. i myself am in the midst of planning a round world trip. as far as the pack goes bring the bare essentials. theres nothing worse than having a heavy pack. how long do u plan on travelling for?
