I think i sprained my ankle or atleast pulled something...

    ...playing a game in the gym at school today.

    then i played the rest of the game because i didn't want my team to lose, and then walked on it all day.

    now i am hurting. a lot.

    it's not that swollen because i had ice on it all day, and i got in a hot tub when i got home from school.


    EDIT: awe... just posted 1000th in convo thread, i didn't notice...

    I missed my 5,000th!! sad face if I've ever seen one.

    And that totally sucks. Shouldn't have played on it. Sounds pulled or sprained. Not really a doctor.

    it doesn't hurt to stand on if i don't move my ankle at all, but moving it up and down, (like walking up or down stairs), hurts a lot.

    Well, my calves, (sp. lol), tense up a lot and i have to do toe raisers every night to keep them from bothering me, so when it happened i thought it was my Achillies tendon, but it is actually on the right side of my right foot, right pass where my leg stops, (haha).

    so from my uneducated guesstimate, i would say Anterior or Calcaneofibular ligament somewhere...

    I'm going to wrap the crap out of it tommorow and try to find a cane, (can't think of the freaking right word), to try to keep weight off it.

    A splint. and don't use an actual cane for that, lol.

    so, i tried to take the time to draw it out, but i gave up. if i had a scanner you'd have an illustration. according to "Back to Basics" p427 Sprained ankle can be walked on insofar as pain permits. Immobilize the joint by looping bandana or rope around heel, crossing the ends in front and pulling the loops tight. (the picture reads "cross behind ankle, cross in front and tuck under, pull tight and tie square knot) so find a bandana, roll/ fold it diagonally (so that its as long as possible) and place it under the middle of your foot. pull up the ends and cross behind your ankle, pulling the ends toward the front. cross them in front and tuck the ends under the length from the first part (where it goes to cross in the back) then pull up the ends and tie on top of your foot, tightening and supporting your arch as well as your ankle. sorry im too lazy to make you a picture

    I pull for UNC 100%, but I will pull for Duke if they're the last ACC team, because i'm not stupid. My Dad went to 6 basketball games this year, and he has AMAZING seats because of his friend, he tried to get me tickets but couldn't... >:[
