hmm mine have been gone long long long time now
i doubt i can find a pic with even 1 if i spent monthgs searching through old pics

all i can say is , the best ones arent simple wraps, but knotwork, theyre more decorative and last way longer, and are easy to add beads trinkets bells and whistles too for fun.
(well never actualy had whistles..only bells)

Actually I have a dreadie charm.
Its not exactly a wrap,Its crocheted sari silk made in a line and on the end I attached a button and a silver cat charm.
I attached it at the base of a dread by tying on with thread it just kinda jangles about but its a little different and its eay to take out.

I was trying to get a good picture but it's hard. I'll ask my husband to try and get a better one maybe, but thisssss is a wrap I did the other day. I used an old anklet w bells and just looped the thread around it. It jingles so prettily(?) sometimes gets caught a lil in loose hairs but I like to jingle so I'm keeping it in:)

Woww I love it luxie!! Such an awesome idea :D

And Alex that is so awesome :p Can we see how it is now? All swallowed up and digested by the dread? :p

Yay!! I'm getting some thread at the end of this week, I'm gonna get each member of my family to either do one of their own on one dread for themselves, or do sections/ a montage on one dread :D I asked my dad to make me a little trinket/metal thingy :D And the Bf is hopefully going to donate some of his hair to make a dread extension for meee!! Yayyy xD

This is just a bracelet over sum thread, held in place with a *gasp* rubber band. It was kinda an experiment, it didn't really stay in the place that well, and it was too pretty of a bracelet to sacrifice to gettin all wet and dready, so i took it off before the shower today.

im going to felt some of my dreads later, very excited.
I bought some needles from good ol ebay so they should arrive today!
And have stacks of fibre think Im just going to lenthen some of them so i can swoosh!!
I know a heap of ppl will say that you should'nt make holes in your dreads but pah Im going do it anyway :p

I don't believe that putting a needle in your hair will do any real damage. I was thinking about it yesterday, imagine trying to split a strand of hair w a needle. The hair would just bounce from side to side! No matter how tight a dread it is still hair which is like fibre w lots of tiny holes which the needle will automatically go through. I sew bells, beads and whatever into my dreads. So far I have no problems, I've only had my dreads for 4months but my friend has had hers for 7 years and does the same w no problems.

Ohh worldpeace's wraps are preeetty :D Wish i could do mine that neat xD

And chemigals that sounds cooool :D What is felting exactly? Is it just adding extra bits? And I don't see how little holes woud hurt the dreads, I use a latch hook to fix mine sometimes and my dreads are fine :p Needle wouldn't be any harm xD I'm sure dreads go through much more trauma than a needle being shoved through em xD

Yeah I agree with you lux I mean the needeles are actual needles so thin they should be ok.
And felting is getting lots of wool fibre, before its made into yarn and kinda laying it over parts of your dread.
Then you get a special 'felting needle' with little grooves on and push it through your dread.
The needle pushes the fibre in so eventually its smooth.
You can make really pretty patterns too.
Ill take some pics of the stages whilst doing it and post them up later..............
providing I dont mess it up haha.
    Then I will hide!
