ive been using bcarb soda for a while now and i do like it, but sometimes it can make my hair a little dry,

i remember reading a post by worldpeace somewere and she said that she just uses regular shampoo, and her locks are really nice, so ive been thinking alot that maybe all this residue free stuff is nonsense,

ive had my locks for nearly 3 years now and im thinking maybe the whole residue problem only affects new dreads,

maybe worldpeace can shine some lite on this??

Well residue is bad for less mature dreads because they can't really afford to have their knots made too slidey. With mature dreads, it's harder to be sure you've rinsed all the residue out, so there is a danger of build-up. But technically if you rinse thoroughly, and maybe still do a deep clean once in a while, it should be fine. I think. Is that right?

I miss herbal essences... But I'm afraid if I go back to normal shampoo my dreads will fall out!! And also they will have to be washed more than twice a week with normal shampoo ><
