What are the problems you've found with bonners i just ordered peppermint, Tea tree Oil, and lavender. (the tea tree was intended mostly for my face tho)
Leave's my hair feeling sticky/waxy & leaves alot of residues behind after Alot of good reviews though I think it's down to my shit water
have you ever tried cutting bonners with dreadhead soap, unless your agaisnt sls. I think thats what im gonna do if i end up feeling the soaps are too residuey
I just use apple cider vinager...though im not sure if its ok for my hair really..i just know it got most of the oily stuff that bronners and too much natural oils left in there.
all i use is baking soda, nice warm water and tea tree oil. does what i want it to do so im happy with it. oh i forgot to mention a little sea salt lol
ive been using bcarb soda for a while now and i do like it, but sometimes it can make my hair a little dry, i remember reading a post by worldpeace somewere and she said that she just uses regular shampoo, and her locks are really nice, so ive been thinking alot that maybe all this residue free stuff is nonsense, ive had my locks for nearly 3 years now and im thinking maybe the whole residue problem only affects new dreads, maybe worldpeace can shine some lite on this??
Well residue is bad for less mature dreads because they can't really afford to have their knots made too slidey. With mature dreads, it's harder to be sure you've rinsed all the residue out, so there is a danger of build-up. But technically if you rinse thoroughly, and maybe still do a deep clean once in a while, it should be fine. I think. Is that right?
some people dont like residue because its not natural/green/eco-friendly... i personally dont see the problem with it
I miss herbal essences... But I'm afraid if I go back to normal shampoo my dreads will fall out!! And also they will have to be washed more than twice a week with normal shampoo ><
