but I don't know where to start. So far, I just draw random lines and see where it takes me... sometimes it ends up cool, sometimes it doesn't. Where to begin?

Some people have an inate gift others do not. Yes, you can learn to draw but it will not make you any good unless you have a gift. I'd wonder what level you wish to be at. I'd also: draw random lines and see where it takes me...
I wouldn't say thats necessarily true. With effort you eventually learn the basics, get a hang of it, start to mess around and have fun, then find your creativity. It's kind of like learning an instrument. Some are born with musical abilities but most musicians aren't, they get where they are by a shit load of practice and theory.
No, it is not necessarily true, that's true, but you can usually tell the people who have practised night and day and come across as proffesional and those who's musical ability comes deep within...they obviously still have to practice hard. It depends if you want to be a creative force or learn the chords and play very well.
There is. If we want to be mean - which obviously we do not - let us wonder if the world has room for timyooo's "art"...oh, ok, of course there is
timyooo how old are you if you don't mind me asking? Maybe there's still hope!! Hey ya never know, some people are horrible at sketching but can do amazing things with sculpting or paint. Some can't draw worth a shit but can create some awesome digital art. EXPLORE TIMYOO!!!!
Sixteen and just really started getting into art I've been in an intro to art class at school all year but havent really taken it seriously until now, so I'm hoping to see some improvement now that I'm putting effort into it
