I do seem to be able to learn how to play chords on instruments without too much difficulty as i have done with piano and guitar but i cant for the life of me make it sound like music
I got to grade 5 on the piano about 15 years ago....but have had no piano access for about 10 years...so um,

Pro-musician and composer here. I play keyboards and guitar. I can fake some percusion and various flutes, and now I'm learning the oud. I love to jam with other hippies, but don't know any in my area...
I started off playing bass guitar, my lack of practicing has made it go downhill heh, i like to dabble in a lot of things, Guitar, Harmonica(love this instrument so much) keyboards Hoping to get my hands on a Djembe sometime soon
my boyf has a djembe but NO idea how to play it, his mum got it from her travels, its stashed at their house so Ive never even seen one before. must look on google
Djembes are loads of fun! I've only got only got my hands on one once, but they're perfect for sitting around a campfire tehe rhythm is haaaard!
I used to play the trumpet when I was a lot younger then gave it up. About a year ago I wanted to take it up again, but my landlords weren't up for it. I would like to learn the acoustic guitar, but right now I don't have the time to put the energy into it that I know I need to. hmm maybe one day though..
thats kinda what happened to me with the flute. I played when i was bout 11 then gave it up cuz i was a twat and thought it wasnt cool. Then bought another 3 years ago as i lost my job and was bored. my brother also did the same with the violin and just yesterday i was having pretty much the same convo with another mate who played piano when younger and getting another now!. I wish i had never give up when i did because I would prob kick ass by now. Also playing an instrument and reading music is really good for keeping your brain from going do-lally-tap, so ive heard!
