hi there.... i was wondering if anybody could help me with a couple macreme' questions.
1,)can you use any type of string like yarn or wool?
2,)is there a standard string width?
    3,)can you make clothing?

I don't see why you couldn't use yarn. I think hemp is the most popular medium. I've seen wire used in the past.

Width depends on the project or preference, really.

I've never seen anyone with macrame clothing before, but I don't see why it couldn't be done! Sounds itchy though...

it would be itchy with some yarns...hmmm you might
have to experiment on stitch tightness and all for
different cords but I bet you could be done:)
One of my macrame books mentions using yarn and
raffia. I have used hemp cords, cotton, and embroidery
floss and had them all work pretty well.
    Good luck!
    peace
