I love several different musical genres, and country happens to be one of them. Brownie points for the hat tipping.
I guess this is the question... "I can see you got your eye on this ole cowboy and I can tell you've never had one for your own Or you've never been around one Now you're thinking that you've found one Well, it might be kind of fun to take him home. You giggle everytime I say 'Yes, ma'am.' And I get this feeling that if I held you tight You'd be seeing his and hers Buckles, boots, and spurs But that's a feeling you'll get over overnight. Cause watcha gonna do with a cowboy When that ole rooster crows at dawn, And he's lying there instead Of gettin out of bed And puttin on his boots and getting gone? Watcha gonna do when he says, 'Honey, I got half a mind to stay'? Watcha gonna do with a cowboy when he don't saddle up and ride away? You see it takes a special kind of woman To put up with the life a cowboy leads Cause his boots are always muddy And his beer drinking buddies Will camp out on the couch and never leave. Don't even start to think you're gonna change him You'll be better off to try to rope the wind. What he his is what you got and he can't be what he's not and honey you can't hide him from your friends. Yeah whatcha gonna do with a cowboy when he don't saddle up and ride away?"
Traci have you seen those license plate holders that say 'save a horse ride a cowboy' I think you need one (;
Hmm... I'm a liberal from the south with somewhat of a southern accent who owns and sometimes wears a cowboy hat. I need to get one of those fringe jackets... But I'm a vegan so that screws it up - leather. And the southern gentleman you're dreaming of - they drive trucks with dogboxes, listen to Toby Keith, drink a lot of beer, and are strangely obsessed with nascar. I suppose you could define me as a "southern gentleman" or whatever those are, but most of the southern redneckish types despise me... there's a difference between westernish types, rednickish types, and "hillbillies"... The strange thing is none of them like each other I think the way I'm like this is because I grew up part of my life in Alaska and Canada then moved to the southern US... and I tend to piss people off... a lot. And it also has to do with individuality... but anyway, screw anyone else who thinks otherwise... I really don't care.
I went to a monster truck show when I was five... and I rode on Grave Digger. Yeah... but I was five I'm more of a folk music enthusiast now... I like that song by Neil Young "Are There Any More Cowboys?"
hey man, a straw hat was all i had, and thank you holly...a thread about cowboys and no one had posted my picture yet, i was beginning to worry i hadn't whored myself out on this forum enough.
