I'm with Pavel on this one. The vast majority of Americans aren't smart enough to grasp the concept of something other than what the institution feeds them. And trying to change them after Tabula Rasa has ended is a big fat waste of time. They're already lost. Pavel I'll be camping for a week just north of N'awlins in 10 days. Dunno where you are these days but come share a can of WPs with me.
there's no way in hell i could ever homeschool/unschool my kids. i don't have the mindset for it. i someone doesn't get something the first time i explain it, i go all english schoolteacher on them. horrible. but there are some GREAT schools out there, for free.
no. it's too late. i'm terribly disappointed and it'll take at least a thousand posts for you to overcome such a terrible obstacle.
completely off topic- i tried to give myself your exact custom title (seen your member) a while back and the site censored it. wtf?
I'm pretty happy with the school my kids go to. I have a special needs child and we get a lot of help through the system, plus it gives me a break so I don't explode.
it actually was funny see you had said about how upset you get having to explain anything twice and i was like what do you mean?? lol get it yet?
I'm not talking about homeschooling - I'm talking about letting children live. That's something else. If anything, children need support and guidance to develop their personalities and to find their own unique way in life. What they certainly don't need is what's taught at schools. If you do the same at home, it's gonna help little.
