Lately, well atleast this past year, my dreams haven't really been normal dreams persay. I am usually conscious in my dreams, if not full blown astral travelling.

I've had alot of weird dreams and experiences in these dreams that have left my jaw wide open upon waking.

But the one I experienced last night, gave me an impulsion to ask for advice.

I remember being in front of a mirror, the mirror theme has arised several times in the past few months, but this one in particular peeked my interest.

I remember looking directly into my eyes - the pupils were deep as if never ending, and I had a bright golden ring around the outside.

What does this represent? What would this mean?

The mirror dreams have always interested me, but not like this, the golden ring topped it off for me.

I am posting this here because I feel there are better people able to help me in this sub-section than the dream section.

I feel there is deeper meaning to this almost simple experience, hopefully someone here can take a stab at it.

I would say it means that you have a capacity for transmitting higher knowledge that you have yet to embrace.

Hmm, I have had this notion in me for quite awhile (before the dream) - although I am not sure how to develop this quality. For now I am just meditating and developing my self.

It is good to see that your still here.

I once had an fascinating dream involving a mirror also, ... i was both a grown man and a boy and there was a mirror. I as the man was teaching or encouraging the boy to walk into the mirror, i as the boy didn't think i could do it, so to prove it was possible i as the man threw a tangerine into the mirror and it vanished into the mirror. I as the boy was impressed and somewhat convinced but not fully i guess as the dream ended without the boy walking into the mirror. This dream significantly came shortly after it was suggested that i take advise from my 'future self'.

There has been a fair bit of talk of mirrors on this forum ... in the sense of life and people having a capacity or quality to mirror that which we don't see in ourselves ... you look at a reflection long enough and one may realise "Ah! It's me!" ... because everything is one and we find that oneness and similarity if we really look into things with open eyes and enquiring and honest nature.

Recently i've been noticing when i've been looking at photos of people and more recently with people themselves (although it could be anything really) that im 'drawn into them' ... like looking into them as if the reflective mirror thing has been replaced by a pane of glass ... seethrough. So it like the 'mirror' has become a window ...a portal which your awareness can go into.

As for your dream though i have no thoughts about the bright golden ring but bright+golden+ring sure sounds good! ...and i'm sure the bottomless depth needs no explaination.

    Sounds fantastic anyway! ;)

Hmm, my latest dreams entail me peering into the eyes of other's now, however they do not have the golden ring.

Just a couple of days ago, I had a dream and upon waking from that dream I had the thought in my head that this girl I knew and her boyfriend broke up. This appeared in my dream and I remembered it instantly. That same day I thought to myself: "Nah, that couldn't of happen, they didn't break up".. A couple of days later I discover that indeed this girl and her boyfriend just broke up, like inbetween the time I had that dream and when I found out. It all happened within 2 days.

This whole past year I've had dreams that were premonitions, usually about my future experiences - or an alternative version of a past event, or something directly relating to future occurances. Usually my dreams aren't this accurate, I mean this literally freaked me out. I've had a ton of spiritual experiences in the past, but never have I actually had my own "psychic" experience - not of this degree anyways. I can't just sweep this experience under the carpet and call it a day, you know what I mean?

I am very interested in where this is leading me, and what is happening withing my subconscious.

I started to seriously draw sacred geometry and mandalas about 8 months ago, I believe they may be making their effect known?

I still remember when you first launched yourself onto this forum. It was like a visitation from another realm, and I think lots of folks just didn't know what to make of you.

You were flailing a bit, but I think you've acquired more stability since then. I still believe you have a remarkable path to tread. Yet you needed some temperance...and you seem to have acquired a great deal of temperance, rather quickly, as it happens.

I know and understand (all too well!) that you long for explanations and understanding. But your path speaks for itself, and unfolds in due time. Patience is what's needed, to just let your path unfold.

Good to see you again. I do hope you'll continue to keep us posted on your progress.

Yeah, I was in another realm back than that's forsure haha.

What happened is - back in August I pretty much threw out all of my previous beliefs. Not necessarily the core of my beliefs (the soul, spirituality, God, etc) but everything else I had acquired. That is not to say that I disregard my past experiences, rather I approach them in a different light.

I went through alot, and that year and a half was quitely fast paced and hectic for me. Alot was happening around me and within me, during the experiences I wasn't able to sort the wheat from the chaff so to speak.

So back in August I decided I was going to build a firm foundation on which I could further myself and build up my truths from there. My beliefs before this time was founded on an unstable foundation.

I have been meditating on average an hour a day for almost a year - sometimes more, sometimes less. I turned inward, became an introvert again. Spent alot of these past 7-8 months in contemplation and solitude.

This explains my absence, I've retracted myself quite abit, not only from this forum but from other's aswell as old friends. I have had to restructure my entire situation pretty much. Had to cut loose dead ends and ties that were leading me no where quick.

As you said, I needed temperance, and that is what I've been trying to incorporate.

I have developed more of an objective stand point now, watching life go by trying to pick away at the illusions and to accept what is. Trying to develop hobbies/interests and finding my purpose in life.

Definitely my focus has turned away from the outside world to my own inner processes.

Now it's a new year, and almost spring once again. The spring equinox is fast approaching which brings in a new cycle of action, atleast within me. I am always excited for the change that is soon to follow.

Travis, I want to thank you for pointing out to me long ago that I was treading down a path of self-destruction. I couldn't see it then, I don't know how you knew, whether from the manner I posted or otherwise. I'm glad I'm off that track and only wish I listened when I had the chance.

Good to see you too, Zeng!

of course you recall our many discussions about 4d (or 5d if you still prefer) . you've been onto this geometry for awhile now . my dreams also continue to get more detailed dimensionally . interesting . we are learning something , likely out of some necessity that belongs to all life . such a mental thing would be within our human purpose .

... yet they may have beautiful dreams of their own.
A golden ring is just one piece of symbolism. Have you any idea what it may mean yet? I have an inkling that it may mean that whatever you are going through may have a golden lining ... as in 'dark clouds having a silver lining'. Y'know, things can get a little dark and hairy sometimes but even then we can find moments of serenity and peace.

I've been dreaming like this on and off for years but in the last year and a half particularly it all seems to have stepped up a gear.

I dreamed of finding a mutilated dead body the other night and it seemed so 'real world'... i'm in half a mind to tell the police about it (like a crime that hasn't happened yet) i can give them a rough description of the area and setting ... someone may recognise it... sure i may make a fool of myself and they may not believe me but i feel that maybe i should do something about it. I know a good psychic, i'll phone her and ask for advise on what to do about this.

So Yeal left me a rather antagonizing PM recently... I wonder if everyone here thinks of me in the same way as him?

"The mirror in your dream symbolizes self-examination.

And I know you HATE hearing it, especially from me, but you need to self-examine.

The meditation and whatever other whacky shit you do isn't being done for self-improvement. You're doing them for all the wrong reasons, which mainly is attention. If you were doing them for all the right reasons, you wouldn't need to brag about them over the internet.

Dude, I'm not your enemy, but you need to hear this. You're nothing special, you're not going to be famous, you're not going to be some superhuman, and you're most certainly not going to be the fucking Antichrist! You're a 19 year old kid with a huge ass fucking ego, and it's time you come down from your imaginary throne. HUMBLE YOURSELF! Only until you realize that YOU ARE JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE will you be DIFFERENT FROM EVERYBODY ELSE!"

I realize in the past my ego was inflated beyond control, but why treat me now, as if I haven't grown in the past year?

I don't know how many times I have to explain to people that I am ashamed of my past behaviour - I beat myself up over it more than any of you berate me.

So am I to quit meditating now, cause I'm doing it for all the wrong reasons? Why would anyone meditate for attention?

So going to school, quitting drugs, quitting smoking, being accepted into University, and devoting myself to the spiritual path is not for my own self-improvement, but so I can brag to other's?

I come here to ask questions when I am unsure of myself or need advice. Is that wrong?

If yeal sends you hatemail that's his problem. Just try and look past it.

    ... and keep meditating.

Yeah, I was just taken aback by the sudden hostility.

Liquid, would you say that in your 40 years of life, your dreams have gradually evolved/developed over time?

Do you notice dream cycles as well? Depending on the time of year or even multiple years? Or how about exterior conditions such as eating habits etc?

Maybe 'hatemail' is too strong a word for yeals comments, but at least he did it via PM rather than openly on the boards. I guess he feels strongly. So what if you've been a bit seemingly egotistical in the past. Everyone has been egotistical as some point or another. Ego is always a defence and we all like to feel special or worth something .. like we can have a future where we feel our lives aren't a waste of time and feel we can make a difference.
..and we all need to be humble. It just ain't that easy! All we can do is try our best, recognise ego when it arises and forgive and move on. Rinse and repeat ect. It's not like anyone actually trys to be egotistical ... it ain't called the 'unobserved mind' for nothing!

The main reason i'm dreaming so mutch more now is because over the last year and a half i've been smoking mutch less cannabis, and actually i've stopped toking now and smoking less cigarettes too. I remember stalk saying not too long ago that THC inhibits dreaming and i agree with him. - But i think there are many reasons ... how consumed by thinking we are, how relaxed and unworried we are, yeah maybe a good diet or daily routine, excercise ect. Certainly having a shower and getting relaxed and meditative before sleeping, not watching TV or playing computer games ... all that stuff.
This dreaming certainly seems due to an increased awareness and lessening of egoic self also. Do you notice in your dreams that you are not so mutch 'you' anymore and more just 'the awareness'. Like you may dream about things that happen to other people rather than just yourself (you've given one example of this) or dream as if you are another person? It's kinda like less of an individual identity (you) and more of a greater identity (anyone and everyone).

Have you read through the thread 'astral plane'? ... i've talked a fair bit about my dreaming and my thoughts on dreaming in that thread. You may find some similarity, particularly to do with precognitive dreaming.

I'll have to check that thread out.

I always meditate before bed, some advise against this however. I find it beneficial in that I sort of "shut" off my mind before I sleep, becoming totally relaxed - letting go of the day's events, worries, and thoughts.

I've noticed a change in my mental state after quitting smoking, my dreams are more intense and I seem to have regained my sense of smell.

I'm curious, what did you quit smoking?
I can't tell because you talk about regaining your sense of smell, which is attributed to quitting Cigarettes, but you also talk about regaining clarity in dream, which is attributed to Marijuana. (although Cigs are by no means harmless in the dreaming respect)

I've never smoked Cigarette's, but I've been having a "calling" to quit Pot. I remember when I first got into it, it was all about spirituality for me (and no doubt herb has it's spiritual properties), but now I almost feel like it's holding me back.

I'm thinking of replacing all of my Pot smoking with meditation, going on a fruit/veggie/water diet, and exercising just to see where exactly I "stand".

oh, and Yeal is your friend. you just don't know it. he's there to help your progress even if he doesn't realize it. :)

and Blackened, I was just reading this thing on the net, and it seemed to sync with where you are in respect to Spiritual awakening....it's an account of Osho's awakening at the age of 21. he was exactly where you are.
