Seems like there is a lot of generalizing on this thread isn't there? Bluesafire claims to say he or she was generalizing too, and fact is, we all know that even though they are generalizations, they still are intended to fit the matter at hand; which means, they are intended to indirectly target the vicitim, for which the generalization is created and is aimed for. secondly, its the hipforums not hippyforums..i know its connected somehow with hippy.com, but whatever i understand your frustration, but his qualm was with people claiming to be something they cannot possibly be, or if they were no longer are(im assuming, forgive me)..he never said hippydom never existed, same with zen buddhism..he never said anything contrary to the idea..the point is, once you 'think' youre a zen buddhist, youve completely lost the point, and therefore are not what you say you are... i dunno, i know what im trying to convey, but im sure it sounds confusing.. its like looking at the finger pointing at the moon, and completely missing the moon... ya know?

look everyone, i was just trying to find some warm advice that would eventually lead me to a community in california where i could live, work, and be a part of a different lifestyle.

somehow, i came across wrong and i don't really know how to fix it....and i don't know how many countless times i have to say that i would probably be among the best workers in the community.

i am just tired of living in this conventional lifestyle....before the elections, I told myself that I would move out of the country if another republican somehow made it to office...that never happened luckily, and now i would like to stay. it just would be nice if the people here on this thread would notice that i am a good guy, and that i am willing to do WHATEVER it takes to live, work, and eat somewhere in a northern California independent community.

i apologize for all of this popcorn worthy entertainment, but i still don't think any of you have helped me at all. i mean isn't this place where i would go other than ic.com to find a community?

Believe me I love popcorn too, but I really can't stand when someone is looking for helpful advice and all the person finds is incredible bullshit....not saying that you guys are bullshit, just saying that I don't think I really deserved all of this based on my honest, humble, and respectful first post.
