6 months ago i cut off my beautiful 30inch dreadies. it was a very bittersweet decision but i have missed them ever since... so i recently decided to re-lock! im super stoked and cant wait to start this project all over again. looking at all of the awesome pics on this site really motivated me to go for it again, why not?! thanks guys anyone else starting their dreading journey again or for the first time and totally excited?
nah this sets gonna last a lifetime but congrats i know ya are exciited how did u grow em last time, why did u lose em and what would u do different this time
well i had about 6 inches when i cut them off, so almost enough to put back. i thought it wouldnt be a big deal cutting them, it was summer, and they were heavy and hot... i thought i was ready until they werent there anymore! it was a lot of work getting them started ( i started dreading with hair already to my waist). at first i used wax, but that was a big mess, so then i just let 'em run free. they were awesome- and thats why im excited to start all over again, locking them was half the fun. im an artist, so my hair was like an art project. on my head. all the time. sweeet.
yea.... i feel like its the second time, so i know more about locking, and i know my hair better for sure, so we'll see what happens.
awesome! I would feel the exact same way about instantly missing them. I don't think I would cut for anything... I once had a dream that I brushed them out and had beautiful long hair.... when I woke up I was so relieved that I still had dreads... even over having beautiful long hair. I love my dreadlocks so much more, and sharing them here and getting compliments makes me love them that much better!
