Baking soda will dry out your scalp even more though its great to wash with. After you wash, try mixing a drop of tea tree oil with a small amount (1 tsp) of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Get a very tiny amount on the tip of your finger and gently massage it into dry places. Hope this helps :)

I've started using Dove Beauty Bars on my dreads, since then I haven't had any dandruff.

However, it makes me dreads feel kinda...Soft and mushy, so I would suggest maybe using it before you shampoo, or maybe after, I don't know a lot about haircare.

I never had a problem with baking soda drying out my scalp, then again maybe I'm just retarded and don't notice!

Back to op. I know you said you tried ACV, but did you scrub around with your fingers when trying to clean your scalp? I think that makes a difference. I certainly found ACV to be very useful for clearing up any crap on my scalp.

ive used teatree to some success but still had issues too
    what i do is
in a large pitcher, (lil over a gallion i guess) mix biut 3/4 cup of baking soda, lil bit of sea salt (2 tablespoons max) 5-15 drops teatree (less is better then more really) and alotta rosemary..20-30 driops
teatree helps kill bacteria that can cause issues but too mucvch dries the scalp w ton.
    rosemarty though really helps alot
id use both, just more rosemary then teatree,
the longer u leave the bakingsioda mix on the more dandruff it eats.

mine was so dsevere by scalp came ogff in chunks till it bled in spots (from being chemicaly tortured years ago)
this rosemary heavy mix has xcompletely solved my problem, i now have nearkly zero issues with dandruff unless i go almost 2 weeks without washing and then its just minor (1/10th the usual ammount or less)

u can also use the dandruff cures in herbs for your head for a in between washing cure.

i used to have dandruff but since i got dreads a few months ago no more dandruff. i guess it has something to do with the fact i don't comb my hair anymore.
just wash your hair often, like once a week. works well for me.

ive always had dandruff. when you wash your hair, do it with hot water, then before you get out of the shower, use cold water and spray your scalp down. it will seal the pores and hold moisture in. prevents it from drying out.

hmm i always used to do the hot then cold thiong with normal hair to restore shine, but seems to make sence that heat would open pores and remove oils then cold close em back up
im very temperature sensative tho so tend to use water just slightly on the warm or cool side
i may give that a try though (even tho the baking soda with lotta rosemary does the trick wonderfuly for me..scalp hasnt been this good in years)
