and heres my shorty. i got her for free from the summer camp i used to work at. shes still a ways from being finished and im keeping the interior really simple with basic structures and no electricity or plumbing, though that could be added later if i have the time and money.

btw, im looking for people to ride with me and share gas from bc to toronto or anywhere in between : )

    very sweet
we are looking at getting a coach now, after this 1 died
    [IMG]
it was the old highwaychild tribe bus (1 ofd em) but it never even made it home b4 dying
we now want a coach or a city bus or bigger since were gonna be havin a family of 5 or more livin/travelin in ot
i love how ya set the big 1 up

weneed electroc, cooking bathroom and shower and the full 9 yards though (plusd a wheelchair lift might be a help too..lol) so were still looking for just the right bus..
been drooling over quite a few weve seen recently though so..hoping it will be soon.
(chances are it wont be finnished by july, but we'll be headed to the gsthering in it we hope so will have room for ..well...anyone i guess,..lol
but by the time its finnished it'll be cramped with 5-6 ppl no matter how big a bus we get (unless its a double deck or we add a second floor (mostly for the kids i think)

    i love buses
chevy will drool over yours when she gets on

That is amazing I wish I could do that. I would probably never even drive one if I had one lol. I'm afraid of driving vehicles bigger than a Chevrolet Tracker (which is like the size of a small jeep) even the tracker is scary to drive at times.

Ok so I completely changed the topic I guess but back to what I was saying.
I love the buses. How did you do the big one? I'm so curious today. :)

No interior pics right now. Its got 2 bunk beds(=4 beds), 2 couches, a full working sink and hose, a refrigerator, a/c, a generator and huge fuel tank, and a nice sound system.

Needs a wood burning stove, more storage, a hard wood front door...

I love your aunts bus! It looks like a place you could walk into and just feel like you are at home, at peace.

And your shortie has so much potential because it looks like it is in good working order. Nice interior, i like the table with the lamp.

nice looking bus dude!! i love the colour and window coverup. got any interior pics?
youre right, the shorty does run rather well (needs a bit of help with a broken bolt but thats happening soon) and only has 120k on the odometer. pretty good for free :)
i hope that in the future i can really make the interior nice with most of the comforts of home... composting toilet, running water, solar hot water, solar electricity. and of course a wood stove. ive been looking for a year for a nice little stove and nothing yet that i can afford.
and yeah, ive always felt that way about the big bus :)
hey do you have a skoolie.net account? i dont recall seeing your bus there. mines wanderin_blues but i rarely post, just lurk a lot.

    tannaleigh: will do!
    daisymelan: can do!
sunflower: it is a bit to get used to. first time i drove my shorty into town, i went up on the curb twice lol. you really have to be conscious of how big you are. but the thing that bothers me the most is having a large blind spot. its not that bad i guess b/c my bus is little, but still.
btw, i love trackers and want one.

    google bus villiage
theres like 6 pages i think on aol of bus villiage buses, the 1 named after a flower, umm magnolia? i cant rememberwith the huge 2snd floor i wanted to buy soooo bad.
my freind papilion years ago had an amazing bus, the main doors and the whole interior were hand carved redwood

and anyone who was on the great peace march might remember my fave bus of all times, dr dooms deathmobile

picture a bus, army green, having metal sheets that slide up over all the windows, a stage that folds out on 1 side, the rewar emergency door was a blast furnace door. the blinkers wrrwe extended out from the bumpers woth cones around them looking like radar dishes, on the 4 corners of the roodf were machine gun torents (all made from scrfap metal) and flame throwers hooked up to tanks
then in the center was a missile launcher, bout 25-30 foot long missile, on a launcher that raised and pivited.

the bus was confiscated after he pointed the missile at the white house.
but it was such a work of art i'll never forget it.

willie, like the red, wasnt it blue last time i saw it or green?

(saw a coach bus yesterday for sale came with 2 spare engines and transmissions, the auction ends today though..and lil hesitent to buy without trying since we got so screwed last time)
