Hey ppl. what to say? Well I took acid 3 times a couple years ago, and since then some dmt, mescaline, shrooms and lsa and lately I've been thinking about these lsd experiences, and how profound and life-changing they were. even dmt didn't initiate so many deeply personal revelations. Now that I'm a bit older and may i dare say a bit wiser, I think I'll be doing it again soon.

A vague interest I have is in oral dmt, or maybe plugging to save my digestion? havn't tried either yet. I know I say dmt was less life-changing than acid, but It was somehow slightly more natural, despite the intense alteration I experienced. I suppose i experienced pretty much no physical fatigue, but then again it only lasted a few minutes.

maybe i should ask this over on the dmt board, but how does oral dmt compare to other long-lasting psychedelic experiences. the thing with smoking for me was it was very hard to intergrate what i saw into my being. with acid the oneness was a very prominent aspect. with dmt it was like contorted and beautiful, like you were watching something. not too much merging went on, or if it did, it seemed so alien. i guess it was part of me but i didn't accept it.

i would like it if oral-dmt would be more real to me than the completely alien landscapes that i was confronted with, despite everything being one. it seemed as if i would need to evolve into another creature to fit in with some of that life/mind stuff. with acid everything was perfect the way it is.

    whats ppl's thoughts?

oral makes it last much longer, allowing you time to incorporate into your worldview.

It's like the difference between snorting ketamine and eating dxm. Both have the exact same high, but ketamine hits you so fast and for such a short period of time that it's basically just a "oh fuuuuuuuu-" experience, while with dxm you have hours and hours to understand what is going on and place it inside some familiar context, or place your familiar context inside it :)

i wonder if I could reach those dizying heights like from smoking. I almost had a dmt trip on mescaline once. but a friend was there and I didn't want to pass out or anything, and i felt i should be with him in his experience. i definitely feel better tripping on my own.

I've never had the opportunity to try mescaline or dmt, but based on my experiences with lsd and mushrooms I would say that the differences in the drug doesn't really change how "life changing" the trip is. I think that has a lot more to do with your set, setting, and how you relate to the world and your own reality while under the influence. This variation between your tripping state and your sober state, and what these variations cause you to realize, is what makes the whole experience, not so much whether things appear more "earthy and organic" or "bright and electric" as people often describe the feel of a mushroom or lsd trip respectively.

I totally agree with that. I find all psychedelics help me realize things, sort of in the same way as well, just with a different feel to it.
