Disagree. I think one should find multiple gernes that really clash. Chaotic music can often times be mind blowing in a good way. Take Genghis Tron for example, great band. Combines grindcore with an almost IDM brand of electronica, with a little mathcore on the side. I've always had thing for bands that try to fuse any kind of metal or even traditional rock with jazz... 4/4 time signatures are becoming increasingly boring in a lot of genres.
