clockwise rubbing is a myth (the right handed personm will have a slightly spiraled hair clockwise a left handed persons is oposite the theory os yu go with the grain, however, that only makes sence at the very center of the spiral, ther crown, as anwhere else 1/2 the rub is against the grain 1/2 with
it makes no difference what way u rub it
the spiral idea is just to add more complicated things to the instructions so they can sell more products to make it easirer

wool will help yes but..lil warning

wool keaves behind woll fuzz u get it trapped in dreads for life
no big deal but is vissibly there.

the halo..best left alone to give birth to new dreads
it will by a couple inches on its own.

    fuzz on outside of dreads
    in general, ignore it
foer more formal or professional occasions smear on alowe

now kletrs see pics because i bet your imagining most of the problem
    but

    no dread is ever perfect
the more u want them perfect the more disdatisfied u will alllllways be.
no dreads are alike they are all individual like fingerprints
the more u compare yours to wsnother the more disatisfired u become
dreads are sensative to how u feel about them
this cant be proven, but if u love em, they thrive, if u are hating them, they misbehave
accept them as they are andf love em and they will return the love by becomming beautiful

I use to have hair falling out...scared me at first but after a few months they just stopped ...now i cant even pull them out.. lol. Just give it a little time, or a lot :p Most importantly just relax, do what you think is right for you and be happy with your decision, You cant go wrong.

    peace.

aye, white marley, your dreads are what? 2 months? they will get loose, and they will come un-backcombed,, its part of the process before they tighten and lock up for proper =] (get me and my proper english haha)

i understand that you and work want to look tidy/neat etc, but it wont just happen.

and fyi, rats are very tidy creatures =]

need to appreciate the process man, need to relaxedly think in years when you think about their progress. dont fuss n fight, let it flow. if the man doesnt like it, fck him or join him, your choice

but yeah this really isnt what you wanna hear. just too impatient man, not supposed to have anything that can be called neat that quick.

Calm down, keep using the residue free shampoo, this is part of the knotting process regardless of whether you want them uniformed.
If your job were so sensitive about it, you should have a) quit and got another or b) not got them :p
Sorry to sound harsh but some of the thing's you are asking can only be answered by yourself :)

i know how you feel about the strict job man, mines the same, (Im a part time chef) fortunatly though i have to wear a hairnet, so instead of doing that i wear a big bandana or buff and it hides it all away while im in the kitchen, so its not a problem, saying that though im pretty sure my general manager has not seen it yet, so im sure the worst is yet to come

Surely with the hair net there is no issue with you have dreads, is there? I've worked in some pretty fancy dancy hotels and most of the kitchen staff could keep their head and facial hair as they chose, as long as they wore a hair net. Unless they needed to be carving meat or something.. then the "more presentable" chefs might have to do the public stuff.

you would be suprised, i have to walk around the back of the bar a lot, and it does look like there is a big chance my hair could fall in the food. Finally the danger of ignorence, my manager may think that they are "smelly unwashed hair" just like every other damm ignorent annoying person out there, in which case i may get fired defending myself, however i will come across that bridge when i meet it

you cant be fired for your hair unless you were pressented with a written guidline of how your expected to keep your hair at the time of your hirring
    that is fact.
they can complain yes they can ask u to change it but not insist..they howebver cannot fire u for that
    but
if ya do get intio that situation of fighting it they may look for other excuses..so be careful not to give em any.
u can sue for wrongful terminstion if they fire ya for any reason thats not written out in theyre guidlines or company polocies.

    so fucck em..let em bitch..
im sure u bitch about the way they run things plenty too
