Pre-dread; No picture available, but it was an afro, take my word for it. Just after getting my hair dreaded; EDIT; Oops..Will have another pic up later. A few weeks later; Now, a year later; I hate them, so small and un-even.
aweee that made me sad!!!! hold your high and love them locks!!! I would kill for your hair...gonna be spectacular!!!! think we all have bad hair days or decades in my case..it will pass!!! oh and looks like to me you wouldnt have much trouble trying to congo right??????
I'm thinking about fusing some together (I'm sorry, but fusing just sounds so much more cool than congo) and I already have done it to some in the back, but I'm worried that it'll make it look worse.
really, they seem fine to me from the pictures, you just gotta give it some time, im in the same mood myself, i want them to mature now but, you gotta give it time
no dreasdies are ugly..but all dreadies can be ugly..its all in the eye of the beholder (gee whered i hear that before?) i mean yiur attitude towards them shapes your vission let em grow and tighten u can congo ast anytime if u just stop ripping em apart..easy as that.. but in the meantim e feed em lots of love it will make a difference they look great any other begholder outside yourself will say the same (unless theyre dread haters that hate all dreads) get rid of any morrors and only jusdge theyre looks on possitivecomments while dismissing negative ones as just being drewad haters.
see what i mean, everyone loves your dreads but you its a perception problem only. i have a freind whos probly got bdd thats body dysmorphic disorder, shes very pretty, but sees herself as hidios and defformed and nothing will change her perception u may have ddd dready dysmorphic disorder (see your rthe very 1st person to ever be diagnosed with this) you see your dreads as ugly no matter how good they look. the cures simple unless its a seratonin thing then ya need meds (kidding) stop looking at your dreads only listen to what other dreadlovers say.. then a good long while from now when your confidence in them is built up anfdd u love em again, then you'll be capable of seeing them as they really are beautiful question...how muchtime a day do u generaly spend looking at your dreads in refklective surfaces? more then a glance or 2 a day? more then 15 minutes? up to an hour obsessing over how they look>?
All of my friend's say that they look like shit and that they should look like Li'l Wayne's dreads, or like Captain Jack Sparrow's, and they won't even listen to me when I say the last guy wore a wig...
don't listen to your friends. my friends thought I was crazy wanting dreads and sometimes some of em look through my hair like they're reading a horror story, flipping through each dread. Come on here and you'll get more experienced people giving you proper advise and honest feedback. Do you have a problem w them or is it just your friends?
Well, I didn't get them because I thought it was going to be a journey or life-changing experience or anything, I just wanted a good looking hairstyle, so far, dreadlocks are the only way that I can have my hair that doesn't make me look like I belong on the short-bus. So if other people don't think they look good, I don't think they look good... Although I have gotten some good responses from people.
dreads are a contraversial hairstyle no matter what 1/2 the ppl you know will love them, 1/2 will hate them the 1/2 that hate them generaly are close minded idiots not worth calling freinds anyway ignore em i said, pay attention only to the possitive comments ignore the negative
