Oh, I was getting an idea of a year or so. Damn, a week break would rock. I want one of those.

 

I wouldnt leave my family for a year. I can travel like a maniac but I'm always back home within the week.

 

that sounds like fun. I bet it would be warm there. mmm.... warmmmm..... it's freaking cold here now, and snowing.

My best friend lived there for a year. The men-women ratio is something like 1:10 (I think because of war, immigration, and AIDS) --- and says he, women actively encourage you to have multiple partners so you find out "how good Botswanan (sp?) women are." He didn't catch HIV (condoms anyone? ), but he had some fun handling those big African booties! :cheers2:

Of course, it's all about your comfort levels and priorities. You're a family man and all. I'd be going crazy myself, to compensate for the prudes I've had to deal with my entire adult life.

 

I dunno about the Botswana booty calls but a photo safari would be cool. Also find out everything you can about the area, militant groups and such. That damn show "locked up abroad" has made me paranoid about traveling outside the country.
