going to find out for sure if this troublesome joint pain is actually arthritis. it comes and goes. sometimes i have a long period of time with no pain, sometimes i have a long period of time with pain. sometimes its just an hour or two of discomfort. sometimes its sharp, shooting pain, more often a dull ache. its in my knees and hips, particularly the right side. the biggest issue i have with it is when i'm taking stairs or walking on an uneven surface. ugh i was fucking limping this morning, it was really bad. i'm concerned though. even if its arthritis, i'm not confident the doctor can do too much for me, and since i'm so young and it probably will only get worse, i'm afraid medications may only work so well for so long, so i might should wait for medication till i'm older and need it more. idk. maybe it will give me a reason to occasionally walk with a cool cane or something, on bad days haha. it would help with stairs. a lot of stairs around here have no handrails, or only one in the middle, which is the wrong side for when my right knee is hurting and i want to support myself better on stairs
The medication will always help, they will give you stronger NSAID's that you dont need to take everyday.
I have joint pain too. I actually started taking a shot of this stuff everyday (some guy who is a personal trainer at the gym that I now work at recommended it to me) and it's honestly been working I think. it might just all be in my head though, I don't know for sure. http://www.monavie.com/Web/US/en/product_overview.dhtml anyway, you should read up about it. it's supposed to be good for your joints, immune system, and all around health. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow. for my throat. I'm hoping for some tussionex.. :leaving:
oh yeah, i forgot to mention i'm getting two warts removed from my left hand, as well as having my knees and hips checked out
idk, i've tried glucosamine and concentrated cherry juice and stuff, idk i'll talk to the doctor about it before investing money in some kind of expensive treatment
I keep misreading this. I guess I should pay more attention. First time I thought it said I'm going to BE a doctor next week. Then after I read it properly, I thought it said I'm going to the Dictator next week.
I usually encourage everyone to smoke weed at least once in their life. I think I might make an exception in your case. I don't think you need it.
if your doctor says its arthritis, i would get a 2nd opinion from a specialist, that invovles more thorough testing than what you'll most likely get with your doctor.
i can't. besides, i'd rather have a cane, anyhow. like this one! http://www.fashionablecanes.com/141.html
Well good luck to you nesta. Let us know what you find out. I went over the summer to get some joint pain looked at. My left foot, the big toe up through the top of my foot and ankle. I thought it was all related to the sciatica pain on the side I get from time to time, turns out I have arthritis. They also ran a blood test on me to be sure that I didn't have RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) due to some of the symptoms I was having and the fact that it runs in my family. Thankfully, I tested negative for that. With me, I notice that really cold and/or damp days makes me hurt, but other than that, I'm okay for the most part. What worries me though is how it will feel as I get older. On those cold/wet days I do tend to limp a tad, and the pain can be pretty uncomfortable. I was extremely involved in ballet dancing for many years, gymnastics, and cheerleading in my younger years...and to this day I'm very active on my feet, however I wonder if it's put strain on my feet/ankles which is why I'm having issues now.
stay away from aspartame...it will make you feel arthritic...and if you are arthritic it will multiply the pain
Crap, are you serious? I have heard that before actually, but I always thought maybe it was just a coincidence.
yes.. http://www.sweetpoison.com/aspartame-side-effects.html http://www.321recipes.com/aspartame.html http://www.holisticmed.com/aspartame/arthritis/ http://www.dorway.com/badnews.html
Oh dear... Not that I consume a LOT of it mind you, but I do tend to have a can of diet soda almost daily with my lunch. Not because I like it, but for the caffeine boost. Which yes, I know caffeine isn't good either but...I'm on auto pilot without it, I swear. I've often wondered though. For about a month not long ago I quit drinking it and I felt, well, different. When I started drinking it again, I noticed I seemed to be kind of achey, had more pain in my joints, all over, not just my foot, but contributed it to the weather, stress, fighting off colds considering it was cold/flu season at the time.
i've never heard that before, but i dont consume aspartame anyway because its really bad for you and tastes like shit anyhow. if i'm going to do something thats bad for me, there should be something pleasant about it....a good tasting, aromatic cigar, a tasty beer or wine which gets you drunk, etc.
