I posted last week for tattoo ideas, I've been thinkin' about it while leaving my mind open freely to any ideas that might pop into my head. Finally it came to me today, on my trigger finger I want a Swastika tattoo, or possibly in one whole picture on both my trigger & middle finger, so when my fingers are side by side it makes the swastika. I chose this simple small tattoo simply for this reason, the swastika means Life, Power, Strength and good luck, mainly for the meaning of life/hate. With the trigger finger a life can be taken as simple as the blink of an eye, but with will power/strength the anger/hate can be overpowered. I know, how is he getting all this from this simple thing, it is just what speaks to me. Then possibly below it or on my other hand I want a peace symbol on the same place just other hand. Maybe it wont speak to people like it will as it does to me, but it makes sense to me. Plus, it can be one of those.... well the swastika isn't just about hate, because people really look at it as a one sided story, there is more to it. So that will be my first tattoo, wish me luck, hopefully the tattoo artist doesn't punch me in the head, lawl.
Hum.. well, good luck with that. Keep in mind, though, that the "down" side of your hand will lose plenty of skin cells and your tattoo will, if you place it on your finger tip or some such, fade fairly quickly. Now, just my opinion, I don't think putting a swastika on yourself is a good idea. I know it is a symbol representing everything but the Nazi ideas, but still, that's what everyone associates with it, and I doubt most people will bother asking and instead just assume the worst.
Assuming will only make an ASS outta themselves. I get what you're saying though, thank you for that peice of information! I actually didn't do my research about that, I suppose that part of the body would end up fading quite quickly....hmm, would it stretch out or whatever much or just fade..a lot?
Fade, a lot and quickly. A few of my friends got smiley faces tattooed on the underside of their big toes, within a couple months they were significantly faded.
A good rule of thumb is to not get your hands, neck, or face tattooed until you are well established in life and able to support yourself because visible tattoos can be very limiting. I don't know your personal circumstances, but I would strongly consider this choice because it is so visible and so easily mis-interpreted. I totally get the " if they don't get it, its their problem" argument, but you're the one that will have to live with the ignorance if the person has any power or sway over you. Cheers
