Most successful? Working locally can be much more fulfilling. Well, started an anti-liquor store campaign when some bozos thought they could bring a great big 2 jobs to the county by opening yet another one... Under the guise of being all-american-apple-pie-support-the-troops-and-hang-up-another-american-flag kind of people... And started a local protest group that joined with many other groups to work against a proposed huge power line across the state which actually benefits nobody but the electric company. Protests seem to be making inroads at this time and the possibility of stopping it increases daily...
Haven't had much experience, but I always found the story of the Bolt Weevils to be inspiring. For some reason though I can't find their story online. I'll get it posted if I do though..
"success" only gains meaning when you or your community gives it, so it's whatever you consider success. if it's personal fulfillment for you, so be it and right on! your second story is especially inspiring and i hope you guys stop it!
