I enjoy variety, and get bored very easily, so permanent dreadlocks would be a disaster for my head. Are there any methods of dreading clip-in hair extensions that you know of? Should I simply use the same process for normal dreadlocks, or would it be a completely different deal?

I want them to be quite thin, like the dreadlocks in those pictures.

    Any ideas?

    are those dreads?
    not surte they are
but well ill say i was like ya too constantly doin many thigs to my hair got bored ez did crazy things but, dreads never get boring they are allways changing efven after decades they go through an organic growth muchj like nature branching out sprouting buds you name it

just thiought ya should know that ya never really get bored with drewads and no matter how long ya hasd em u miss em when theyre gone (rweal dreads i mean diunt clip ons wiould have the same connection)

but yea u can buy or maker fake clipon dreads theres plenty of places on youtube or all over ther web
    they kindas look silly imo
but then again alotta things do..

if ya go synthetic u make em much like backcombed then palmrolled then use boiling water to melt them into a mass
    if u use real hair
    skip the melting
ya might as well wax if u want since theyre pretty much throw away dreads anyway (still barely use anty or they'll be stickly and stiff) or u can skip the wax palm rioll and backcomb and do whatever
they wont really be dreads a long time..probly wont be dreads b4 u get bored and toss em..
but they will be sorta like rat tail lil rolled together things that calook like dreads from a distance.

to make em (cant believe im even giving advice how to do them..lol) fold the hair/synthetic hair in 1/2 attach to a clip at the fold
backcomb or twist n rip em and roll em into submittion
it'll be alotta work to make em somewhat dready eventualy
    but its possible

    question tho
why do u get bored doing things to your hair?
maybe your bored with always having to do something?

if you had to do nothing, or next to niothing to your hair the rest of your life and still ,ook good wouldnt that gibve u alotta time to do fubn things and not be so bored?

oh and to make em thin just use less hair

I know those arent very good examples, but they are indeed dreads; just not the thick type that most people think of when they hear that word. The salon that does them calls them spindles. They arent as knotted as normal dreads.

Well, im eclectic. Thats a better word to use than bored. I like being diversified in everything I do.

Thankyou very much for the information. Im going to go fetch myself some extensions.

that doesnt really look much like dreads. i guess at the bottom, they look kind of like super skinny baby dreads.
you could do that temporary i think.
just backcomb little pieces (youd have to start off with a haircut like that or it will look totaly different i would htink) rather loosely and dont let them mature. youll still be able to comb them out for the first... well its hard to say how long, everyones hair is different. you could go a month anyway and still be able to get them out (with some discomfort) i would think.

i forgot, palmroll the little backcombed pieces or they will be fluffy :)
if you succeed, post a pic. it does look pretty cool.

saw a girl glue a peice of fur to her head to have a fur mohawk
and another try hammering spikes into his skull to have a metal mohawk (he got 3 in then knocked himself out..but i think he was braindammaged long b4 that)

not that that hasanything to do wityh this just sayin ive seen weirder so have fun with it

oh tea u can put em in real or well backcomed and get em out in a month with a ton of conditioner but they'll also be pretty dammaged by ot just so yas know

its possible wouldnt recomend it tho
if ya want temporary go with fake if u want real expect em to be permenat (but undoable with dammage in an emergency)

You can buy synthetic dreads ready made, or you can make them.

You can buy synthetic hair which you then simply backbomb, wet, palm roll and leave to dry. I wouldn't advise melting them, or using wax- no need.

You can also buy felt balls, which you (you'll have to find a proper tutorial and demo on the net) basically work into dread like forms.

There is plenty of info on the web about any of these methods, I'd recommend making and fitting your own- Its cheaper, especially if you buy the stuff from ebay too :D

There is alot a lot of info on the web on how to attach your synthetic dreads :) Have a good googling session and you're bound to find more that you are looking for :D

    Good luck ^^

no he tiook apart a belt with pyramid spikes..used ones so the lil metal hookes that latch into leather were all bent up
then he sat on the floor with a 2 by 4 hammering them into his head tryuing to get em to stick
it was messty and dumb and got infected
