Here is my labor story and the link below is to look at pictures of her! Last Monday, March 2nd I woke up with some painful cramps and told John we should go to the hospital. We arrived at 7:30am and had high blood pressure and Amelia's heart rate was dropping after every contraction... so the doctors decided to admit me. Two hours later my midwife decided to induce me with my first dose of cervadil. 12 hours later they took out my cervadil and started another cervadil. After my second dose I started pictocin and... Anyways, after three pictocins and three cervadils my midwife said we needed to jump start my labor even more! So Wednesday morning after being in early labor since Monday the midwife broke my water. Things got painful really fast after that! I got an epidural two hours later at 9:30am because my blood pressure was really high and the doc said it would help to lower my bp. Well, around 11:30 I finally started to push!!!! After 14 hours!!! Amelia's head was "caddywonk" which means her head was in a position in my pelvis that wasn't bugging.... I pushed for one half and 15 minutes.... I had a high temp and high blood pressure and couldn't push anymore!!! I threw up all over and we decided to do a c-section. At 1:59am on Thursday Amelia was born! Weighing 8 lbs 5.4 ozs, 19 3/4 inches long, brown hair, blue eyes! She is so cute, so, so cute. I know every mom and dad says that but all the nurses and doctors were saying the exact same! Amelia and I weren't able to come home until Saturday because of my high temperature.... it put me at a risk of infection, blah, blah, blah. Right now John, Amelia, and I are home and all doing well! I am recovering well from my surgery and Amelia has both of us in love.... http://www.************/album.php?aid=2310097&id=12328590&l=706b6
