clerks 2 was a little too retarded for me.

Love his movies. Clerks 2 is funny, but couldn't come close to the first one. But, describing pillow pants to people who haven't seen the movie makes life fun.

Chasing Amy is still his best.

I love the Kevin Smith Goes to College movies though - what a funny storyteller.

I can't stand him as a person.. He is a smug ****. I have to say I do like a few of his films though. Dogma is good and Chasing Amy doesn't suck too much. But he is really overated imo.

    "sex nuts and retard strong"

I laughed so incredibly hard when I first heard this I thought my head was going to explode. I've had that very thought and conversation with myself soo many times, it rang so true to me when I saw it. It was like I wrote that part. Best line EVER

I love Kevin Smith, but I've seen Clerks 2 so many times I hate it, lol. But the first Clerks was AWESOME. They have convenience store living down to a tee. I spent most of my social life in high school at a convenience store/gas station. That place was the meeting spot for everyone back in those days. I reminisce everytime I go in to buy DP and smokes.

We just bought "Clerks 2" and my brother has already watched it like 10 times, so I'm a bit sick of it. I like "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and "Dogma" the most.

    Dogma was a classic

I was sad when he came out and said he regretted making it some time ago

First off, I wish I could LIVE in the clerks universe.

I own all of his movies (yes even jersey girl) and I have yet to see a movie of his that I didn't like (except Jersey Girl kinda. Wasn't that great but deffinately had some moments, specifically everything that comes out of George Carlin's mouth). Cop Out was hilarious and it was nice to see him working with some new actors.
I would have to say Clerks and Mallrats are my favorites of his, just because they are his roots. I also like that clerks, mallrats and chasing amy are all conected. The girl who dies at the beginning of mallrats (the reason Brandy has to do her dad's game show) is the girl who's funeral the Clerk guys go to in Clerks. Also, in chasing Amy, Banky and Alyssa are talking about that same girl who died and Caitlin Bree, who fucked the dead guy in the bathroom in Clerks and was Dante's ex-girlfriend. I have 3 copies of Clerks. VHS, the snowball edition and clerks X (10th anniversary edition)

I'm a huge Kevin Smith Nerd

Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back was the first one I seen and I loved it but out of all of them, the original Clerks would be my fav. Clerks II was pretty cool too, especially the King Diamond scenes!
