So I was playing Team Slayer on Halo 3, talking to some random dude, figured out he lives like right down the road from me. How shocking? I live in such a small town and to know he lives like within 25 miles from me is just crazy! Never thought that would EVER happen.

when i played startcraft on the computer online i met someone and gamed with him for a while. i then found out he went to a university less than 5 miles from me. his dorm building was right next to a friend of mines at the time. i've met some people two or three hundred miles away but that was the closest.

Ha, jeez cool beans. Yeah, (for me) it's normal to run into people online from like columbus and that's like 150 miles away but still to be 20ish miles away is just crazy.

it is really wierd when things like that happen. i moved away from home in devon last year and am now living about 400 miles away, but i met a lad in my new job here, who is from the same city as me in devon and also knows a whole bunch of people that i know. it was very strange.

    Wow, isn't that such a freak-out maaaaaaan.

Imagine after a lifetime of playing online games, finding somebody in your own town playing at the same time as you. I mean, what are the chances of that?

Last summer I could have sworn I saw a particular HF member at the grocery store...in fact, I kept looking at her, trying to figure out if it was really her or simply someone who looked a lot like her. I almost went up and introduced myself since she and I had chatted on here and gotten along well, but I chickened out. I mean, if someone came up to me out of the blue and said "Hey! Aren't you so and so on Hip Forums?!" I'd get a little freaked out and probably try to run in the opposite direction. ;)

I saw Nynysuts at town a while ago, I couldn't say hey because we were late. Found out she was in the same town as me when I added her on myspace. Then found out we had the same orthodontist. :D Now I may be moving to the same school as her for sixth form.

Also, when we went to Southall in London we went to buy saris; my mum got talking to one of the shopkeepers. Turns out she's from the same section of India as my mum is. :D Just like a street over or so... And all that time we'd been going there with no idea. :D
