I love Galletas Maria , when it was Semana Santa in DR and my mom made Habichuelas con Dulce, I didnt like them, but I always got excited because of the massive amount of galletas maria around the house
Yeah it's sweet beans. Im not sure how the procedure goes, but everyone in DR goes crazy about them in Semana Santa, which seems to be the time everyone makes them. I have no idea why, but I dont like it at all. Yuck, but I would love that I could eat a million of them since there were so many in the house. Do they sell them here? I've never seen them.
I've never seen them sold here (se texas) but my neighbors make it. They also make some kick ass tres leches cake!
I like baked beans with brown sugar in em. No other sweet bean or ice cream. Yeah, the grocery stores carry Galletas Maria herein in SE Texas, I dunno about Philly, But, I mean, why wouldnt they? Major stores should have an 'international' aisle. I should have thrown some of those in the swap box.
