So i was reading through the MJ forums and saw a thread about a guy who extracts thc in citric acid, (he actually uses lemon juice, but its the citric acid in it that extracts THC) and then he adds this lemon juice to a pitcher of ice tea and after a couple glasses he's gettin a really good buzz on. the thread was in hipforums but it linked to this thread in grass city. http://forum.grasscity.com/incredibl...ipe-guide.html so anyway, this got me thinking about how people use citric acid in europe to break down their heroin, so obviously citric acid is safe to inject. I hope you can see where this is going...I was thinking you could use citric acid to extract the thc out of some weed, or maybe kief for less plant matter, filter very well, and inject so THC infused citric acid. Any Thoughts?
You can soak a tampon in vodka, shove it up your ass and get crazy drunk...doesn't mean it's a good idea. Why not just fucking smoke it?
It is possible though it wouldn't be a very good idea to inject THC - its not water soluble so you are asking for trouble. Also, it would be extremely difficult to obtain a clean enough extract from plant material - too many things would make it in the final product that you would NOT want to be injecting into your veins.
So strange you mention it, I had a dream once that I was about to inject thc...and I'm not into injecting anything. Sounds dangerous to iv and a panic attack waiting to happen!
i dunno isn't that just asking for mental health problems? I thought weed had stuff in it that actually inhibited some of the scarier effects of THC. I think you'd get hyper paranoid from it.
i dont think its all that difficult 'to obtain a clean enough extract from plant material' because if it were, then injecting heroin would be difficult as well, as heroin also is derived from a plant. as is a majority of all drugs. however, i personally would not attempt to inject thc. (even though my curiosity about it was peaked enough to actually google the concept.) im not sure why but, my better judgement just tells me that maybe its a better idea if i dont. but, if anybody actually tries it, im curious to know about your experience.:tongue:
Actually, THC from Cannabis hits your brain quicker if smoked than injected. That goes for all drugs. Smoking is technically the FASTEST route of administration, but of course it isn't practical for most pharmaceuticals since smoking is bad for you. Thus, IV administration is used since it is the second quickest route to the brain and CNS.
I once read an article where they were comparing alcohol and cannabis. They had a test subject give their "unbiased" opinion on both substances, this person had reportedly never tried either substance. One day, the subject drank some alcohol. Another day, the subject had some THC injected into their system I don't remember the specifics, but I remember being outraged at the amount of THC they were administering to a first timer. Needless to say, the experiment did not end favorably for cannabis. It might hit you faster when smoked, but surely you'd be able to get a much bigger dose much quicker when injected?
Sure you could, but tolerance build up to Cannabis isn't like opioids where you need 1000x the average person's dose after five years of use. It just seems like a lot of extra work to prepare the injectable THC when you could just take 5 or 10 puffs of STRONG Cannabis (some of which has nearly 20% THC content anyways). But I suppose some people just want to try something different?
