I'm going to be in the caribean this week and I wanted to know that of seawater is good for dreads. If so I'll be in the beach everyday. I have to rinse my hair after the beach every time?? Thanks

salt water is very good for your dreads
    it makes them dry though
if your hair gets too brittle then just put some aloe vera on it
(if you can the actual plant juice)
    :peace:

I can find real aloe vera juice in Puerto Rico :D
I use it as a shampoo or I just add it as a conditioner? I mean I rinse the aloe vera after adding it or leave it to dry.

aloe can be left in or rincesd out if the salts left in to make the hair too brittle then leave the aloe in to do the oposite
if i were u id rince the salt out after an hour or so and u should be good

if u think about it the modern dread obsession among white ppl came more from surfers then reaggae
surfers hair would dread too fast from being in the ocean alot
and was a hassle to prevent
so manmy let em dreead and the trend caught on

Wow! let me tell you it was a great experience. I am now proud to say my dreads were baptized in the caribean sea. They feel incredible with saltwater. This summer I wont get out of the beach. Thanks to everybody.
