Friend wants me to go to house party right now

He's 2 streets down, but i'm vain, ive just woken up and my eyes are puffy. what to do?

if you're really worried about puffy eyes, just go to the party and start punching everyone there in the eye so you'll all be on the same level.

 

Well I went, the place was literally 1 minute walk from my house. There was a lot of coke going around, I didn't take any though, I had one scotch and coke, some fettuccine carbonara, and am now back in bed. Nice way to pass the hours, I wouldn't have slept anyway.

The party was actually a going away party for a friend of a friend. His parents own one of the largest law firms in Melbourne, he's got his whole life set out for him, he's leaving/getting away to the northern territory to work as a farm hand though, wants to do a bit of self discovery I guess.

Fettucine? Dude, is it seriously custom to feed people meals at parties? Because I was just informed that we're apparently having a party tonight, and I'm afraid they're expecting a meal, and I'm like, "Who the fuck expects a meal at a party?" There's NOT enough food for anyone but the regular eaters here and I'm not going out of my way to change that. Everyone attending is at least 18, they should all be capable of feeding themselves. Grr.

 

It depends on your social circle. In mine it is expected that food will be AT LEAST -arranged- for by ordering pizza, even if everyone splits the bill or whatever. Having food there is also sometimes done, obviously more often if its a smaller party. Like if it's me and a few friends, I'll make sure I have chips and shit like that around, if not a nice meal like some KFC platter or whathaveyou.

it's not a universal thing, it depends on how your crew rolls dawg.

 

I wouldn't worry about it, we went to a restaurant for it.
