i was just wondering if it is possible to transplant my seedlings in peat pellets into hydro method flood and drain system. my understanding of this i can grow my seedlings in these peat pellets until there strong enough to be put into 4" rockwool blocks, then into the flood and drain system?????? If this is uncorrect could anyone help me out with some info, i do have 1" rockwool cubes for seedlings but ive never done growing seedlings in rockwool so im a bit confused on wot to do ? i hav done a grow before but was soil method so germinating and jst letting them grow wasnt a problem. Someone please help.
Get the rockwool wet, put seeds in little holes, dont breath rockwool dust. I usually start in perlite, dad though starts his in peat pellets and plugs plant peat pellet and all into the hyrdo system. Dont use flood and drain, get some tubing and rig a drip harness, it uses waaaaaaay less water
The peat plugs can be moved to any type of grow medium, I for example use coco chips. Just transplant like you would for soil, but use hydro system you choose.>) Lost, I agree that yer reservoir is able to be smaller with drip system than ebb n flo so that's a consideration when setting up.
