I swear by tea tree oil for my itchies.... Its got and cooling tingling sensation.... if you can handle the smell... I usually add two drops to some shampoo about once or twice a month.

Before I shampoo my dreads, I pour a mixture of apple cider vinegar, beer, and warm water over my hair and allow it to soak into my scalp. I wrap a towel around my head, leave the mixture on my hair for about 10 minutes, then shampoo. Seems the mixture really helps with itchiness.

As for beeswax - the only (and I mean only) good dread wax I've found is Knottyboy's dread wax. Since they are based in Canada, you are lucked out! For me, the shipping fee is outrageous, but for you, I'm sure the fee isn't bad. Just remember that when you wax your dreads, use the wax very sparingly.

used to have that from the stupid dhhq wax, i learned my lesson allright. had to remake my dreads w/o the damn wax.
anyhow, i got rid of it, but only after a few thorough washes. i suppose if you were to use the substances mentioned above, you'd get rid of it a lot faster.

Calendula is great for skin, especially cuts & scrapes. It is not specifically reccommended for dandruff though, so I think the other herbs already listed would work better.

I used to get the Itchies SOOOO BAD!!

Now I just get them if I go for like more then 5 days without washing my dreads.

I used to find that if your scalp is itchy as fuck, if you just wash your scalp, it stops pretty soon after hahah.

Not exactly a miracle cure but it works wonders when its 5 AM and your heads been itching all night.
