idk man, wax if you want.
    this:
is bull in my experience. i have had wax in my last set of dreads and its fine. it washes out just fine if you dont like cake it in (doooont melt it in with a blowdryer btw, thats the dumbest shit ever). i applied wax maybe... 8 times with my last dreads but i just used a little, didnt overdo it. and i still have the dreads to prove that it didnt stay inside but washed out just fine.
on top of that, my ex uses wax: his dreads are awesome and clean, not waxy feeling or anything.
and my bf used wax with no ill effects as well.
    just be smart about it.

in my experience, aloe doesnt have a lot of hold. it doesnt really do anything for my frizzies.
hair gel or something would work too.

I melted the DHHQ wax into my locks and it washed out with one wash. Just don't use a lot, you don't want to be able to see it. I've used aloe gel from right out of the plant before and it really didn't do anything for my frizzies. I say go ahead and use wax but use it sparingly.

yep the DHHQ wax is super easy to wash out compared to K-boy. I really think this whole anti-wax thing is a load of horse shit. Its called SHAMPOO!!!!!

regardless of what it does to your hair, I personally hate the feeling of stuff in my hair. I've tried wax, and all this other stuff like hair gel, twist and loc creams, and so forth. it just makes my head feel dirty and my head can't breath. see if you an just tie it back with a few cloth bands and maybe even bobby pins to keep it tidy. it's still not going to look super tidy like straight hair.

Woah bit of an unexpected sense of humour failure back there! We did answer your question :) "Negative comments" ? Horsing around is what it was, no personal digs or things deliberately to offend you or anything. Just kinda fun suggesting all those things that we all know are the opposite of good for dreads. But ok, not all humour is everyone's cup of tea, so sorry for any offense caused! So which option are you gonna try?
