Many knew Friend 4 life Phil Fife better than I, longer than I. I met him at what was the end of his life, and a beginning in mine. Fill passed away in 2003. I met him a year before. He sent out an email about a little town in TN. I took him up on his offer and will forever call Linden TN, home. I came across the email he sent out in 2002, today. Some of you may not realize the significance of this email.... but some of us do. For those I share the email that changed my life. FRIEND FOR LIFE We are getting a big hippie squad together to build rainbow huts on my land after the grateful dead reunion. It'll be a beautiful experience. It'll be a rainbow gathering that you don't have to leave if you can just be a pure spirit. I built a sweat lodge and planted 31 fruit trees already. There is a 20 foot waterfall coming right out of the mountain that we get our water from. It's 13 miles from my land, but well worth it. The Tenn. river is 15 miles from the land and it has nice cliffs and lots of fish to catch and eat. The Farm (commune) in summertown is 30 miles from us. They make there own soymilk and tofu. They're really big on midwifery and have cheap courses to take, and really nice people there. There is a dirt cheap health food store that has everything, and can get anything for the lowest of prices. There are alot of omish and meninites around the area so it's super chill. The realitor is a really cool head. He'll drive you around in his jeep and take you to as much land as you want to look at. We piled like 10 hippies, our dogs and smelling like shit into his jeep and rode us around all day before we found the land we liked. It's a beautiful valley. You can put a dollar down and pay a dollar a month as long as you pay the land off in 4 years. no credit checks or anything. it's 1000$ an acre, even for just a couple. I've got 11. You can literally spare change for this land. You know you'll get a fat chunk of change within four years, and then you can just throw it on YOUR land. There is just no reason that we should'nt take over Tennessee. Even Jerry said there ain't no place I'd rather be. Bonnaroo was there and we all know special that was. It's sooooo beautiful and mountainy. We're 100 miles west of Nashville and that's like the music capital of the country. You can go there and here some of the best pickin 24-7 7 days a week. and there is so much land for sale. We had our deal closed out and checked by a lawyer in 2 days. My realitor said that if I could just get you in his office that he would hook you up with land regardless. My friends Spokes and Eclipse from tea time bought 47 acres for 30 thousand$ and they have a year long stream running on it. They are 8 miles from me. So tell all your good family about this land so we can come together and help each other get self sustained and truely do what we should be doing with our lives: changing the world with our loving vibrations. We all know how powerful a rainbow gathering is. If we just alow ourselves to be loved and give love. If we don't have to leave the woods after 2 weeks and be able to stay on our own land just imagine the possibilities. I know I never want to leave a gathering and if there was a way of not, I would definitley do it. I truley believe Tenn. is our chance to come together and make a difference. If you don't want to buy than atleast come and visit me and try and purify yourself. The realitor just bought this old elementry school and he's going to turn it into a home schooling co-op thing. Since most all the kids are home schooled around there. I know it sounds to good to be true, but it's for real. so let's get together and play some music and read our children some books. Cause if there is anyway we're going to be able to change anything in the world it's through the children and getting our heads together as a family, not just on tour and gatherings. Cause the man always finds a way to split us apart. Just look at Aerie, and Sylvia. My two children. They have been raised by Rainbow Gatherings, Festivals, and Tour. Hangin out with you beautiful people all the time has make them some of the best kids around. Because not just me and my mama has raised them, but all of you brothers and sisters have been there. So let's come together and build a bad ass home base to always be able to come back too when we get burned out on the road. Be able to get your head back together, get purified, by eating some dank ass food, sweating, building, reading and teaching. There is lumber everywhere for free that construction sites, and dumps don't need. So everything will be free to build. I just don't know how to build much. So if you have any skills we can all work together and let freedom ring. We're in Linden Tenn.- take hwy. 13 south off of int. 40 exit 143 to Linden. Go about 20 miles. Take a right on hwy 412 take the second right (lick creek) after the only traffic light in downtown and then, I think to the second road again on your right (tree farm road) and take that, go around a few turns and take another right on the second dirt road. Take a right there. there is a white trailer at that road. Go all the way to the end of that and you definitly can't miss me. Hippie shit everywhere. If you happen to get lost go back to the little town and ask the realitor, at TWO RIVERS REALITY, where Fills land is. that's what everyone does anyway. his name is Ben. I just want to tell everyone that wants to come out to just respect the land and not litter even the smallest bit. Pick up after yourself, cover your shit,and the paper too. use a dish, clean a dish, respect the children most of all cause their will always be lots of them there., no alcohol on my land, please. I know most can hold there own but there is always those that can't that ruin it. We definitly don't need an A Camp. There is plenty of State forest and parks right around me if we want to go get swilly. But I want OUR land to be sacred and untainted. That's right our. The money that I've gotten from the friend for life sign and flying signs is paying for the land anyway. So get your ass home. For the childrens sake and ours. Even if we're not there, make yourself at home. Just please don't disrespect or steal from me Emily, Aerie, (Irie) or Sylvia. It's happened too us too many times already. We all know how it feels to get taken from by what we thought was good family. I want to open my heart to let the sun shine in so don't bring any unwanted drama or fuck shit games. Many people have tried this and it has failed. But I've got lots of faith in my rainbow brothers and sisters. Hell i'm your friend for life. If you gave me the quarter. ha. I believe that we're gonna have enough love shinin that It'll filter out all the fear. No false advertisements here. money back garanteed. Let's get this shit started and stop talkin so much. We've got to come together now more than ever.
