I'm pretty sad that this is the last one. I'm nervous, and very excited, because I'm sure that I can win.
I don't even remember my last speech tournament. I know I missed most of them my senior year because my coach would never remember to enter me. Fuckhole.
I hope you win just because your "woot woot" threads are better to read than your "blarr" threads woot woot= blarr=
i'm pretty sure blar is spelled with a single r. that's fucked up. guy should have been torn new assholes for each missed tourney.
I think I would do alright in speech tournaments and stuff. Apparently in my class speech I seemed confident.
I forgave him because he was the reason our one act play went to regionals, which was farther than our school had been in 20+ years. And I liked being tech for a play WAY more than having to stand around in an itchy dress suit and granny shoes, waiting to find out if I performed well enough to make it to the next round. The play was soooo much more fun.
It's a competition for speaking events, like prose, duet acting, poetry, stuff like that, and debate usually. They're the biggest nerd conventions, besides the ones that include all the academic events.
Oh yeah, I also forgot to say that sometimes speech and debate are two separate tournaments. One of the tourneys we went to every year had debate all the way across town in the elementary school, so the debaters would always be gone like ALL day until the awards ceremony. And that sucked because my friends were mostly debaters and I was in prose. Grr. Congratulations on state!
In the world of the National Forensics League there are two seperate things, Speech and Debate. The state tournament for speech was this weekend. This has eight different events all having to do with talking and whatnot. Next weekend we have the state tournament for debate. With only four events. Those are debatey type events. We won last year, I don't know if we can do it this year.
Could someone send me some pictures or videos from these contests, events or whatever? I can't imagine what you're talking about.
